etrailer came thru again. Very quick delivery of the exact item I. Needed; a trailer hitch for my 2019 Acura RDX. The hitch arrived in perfect condition but the box that it was shipped in took a beating. Looks like along the way someone added wrapping tape to keep the product from falling out.

Trailer Hitch silencer for this hitch. I was told that I could use it on this hitch even though it was for Draw-tite. It goes on but, doesn't fit tite.

These guys are great! I inadvertently ordered the wrong hitch for my wifes RDX last year (2023 new model year). I ordered the MDX. When I called to correct the problem, they did not make the one for the new model yet, but would give me a refund. I kept it, planning on taking to a local welder and have it modified. Didn't get around to it. They reached out to me (unbelievably) 1 year later to see how I liked their hitch. When I told them that I had not gotten around to it, he look up the part and found that they now make it. They allowed me to ship them back the MDX hitch and exchange it for the RDX! In today world this is unheard of. Great people. Great company to do business with!

2021 Acura RDX
I would have given this hitch 5 starts, had it not been for all the scratches on the powder coating. Like many others said, the package arrived with holes blown through the sides of the box.
This isn't etrailer's fault, but I really wish that there was a nicer way to add a hitch to the RDX and still keep the spare tire. The 1 1/4" hitch that you can buy from Acura is nicely hidden and looks great, but it forces you to lose the spare tire. The hitches that are sold on etrailer are all 2" and allow you to keep the spare tire. I care more about keeping the spare than the looks, but I wish you could have both. Again, none of this is etrailer's fault - it's Acura's.
The BIG mistake that I made was that I half tightened all 4 bolts, then put my bike rack on to make sure it was level before tightening the rest of the way. When I did this, I tried pushing down so that there would be more space between the top of the receiver opening and the bottom of the painted bumper. (It was tight). When I did this, I broke the welded nuts loose on the front 2 bolts. I was able to torque the back 2, but now I'll have to weld the front. My advice is to tighten everything up, check for level, then torque. Mine was exactly on, so I did this all for nothing. (I had another car that wasn't level).
Last advice -Lube the heck out of the exhaust hangers! It would have been significantly easier if I had done this from the start.

Lower spare, lower one side of exhaust, wiggle hitch into place, tighten 4 bolts. Put spare back. 15 minutes start to finish. Incredibly simple.

After ordering the hitch it only took 3 days to come. The hitch was well packed with no scratches or damage to the box. The hitch is well made and should last very long as with the previous hitch I purchased from e-trailer. As before when I ordered from e-trailer thee videos about installing the hitch was very useful.

It sounds like the packaging did not hold up. It is something that I will let our shipping department know about. Our Customer Service team will also reach out to you. I recommend touching up the scratch with a rust resistant paint like Rustoleum. It will help protect against rust.
