Overall great product and customer service. It took my friend and I about 2 hours to install, weather and well is not being as young as we used to be. But it is nice to have both my 2019 Jeep and now my wife’s 2021 with trailer hitches so we can use either or. I have purchased numerous items from trailer and never disappointed.

Definitely a two person job with some drilling/expanding of holes and a little cutting on the facia. Took my son and I 2-3 hours to get it done. Once complete it looks great! The hitch is hidden up under the facia except for the actual receiver. I've used etrailer for other vehicle and trailer projects and recommend them highly.

2023 Jeep Compass
Kit and hitch were very well thought out and not bad to install. Problem with my Compass is it has hands free liftgate. The sensor is located where the hitch is supposed to go. Could not get any answer from company I bought from or the manufacturer that made product. I finally removed sensor and hitch fits as should. I no longer have a hands lift gate. I would rather have hitch than hands free but not every customer may be that way. I found sensor after I cut lower facia to install hitch. Hopefully there will be a buyer beware attached to advertising in the future.

This is the correct hitch and a perfect fit. We did struggle with seating and starting the bolts and nuts but ultimately were able to get it installed. We were able to get it screwed together and torqued to 165 ft lbs.

the hitch & wiring are of the best quality,the installation (hitch),is rather difficult,& I had the use of a lift! The compass was apparently designed without regard for aftermarket appliances,... certainly not like the Jeeps of old. light kit was a breeze.

Fits and works as needed. Instruction for 2018 compass instructions could use a rework. Taking off a few bolts to remove the bumper impact bar made install much easier! This step was not in the instructions and it should be.

I was not yet trying to rate the products themselves just the quality that they arrived in due to the poor packaging. The hitch arrived damaged with dents and scratches and missing powder coating.

- Will Trailer Hitch Receiver Interfere With The Liftgate Sensors On A 2022 Jeep CompassThe Trailer Hitch Receiver # e48AR does not have a tech note stating that it will so you shouldn't have any interference. That being said the hitches that do interfere with the hands free liftgate sensors really only block just the portion of the sensor where the receiver tube sits so it wouldn't be that large of blockage.
