Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com And today, we're gonna take a look at this Truma single-zone electric cooler. This 32-quart electric cooler is going to be perfect for such adventures as overlanding, camping, tailgating, road trips, boating, and more. It's gonna do a great job of keeping your food and your drinks cold or frozen, and you're not gonna have to worry about the mess of ice. This single-zone fridge and freezer is not only perfect for your longer adventures, but it's going to work great as an additional fridge or freezer in your RV, camper, boat, and even in your home. I can especially see that this is going to be a great supplemental fridge or freezer for you in your camper if you've got one of those smaller refrigerators in your camper.

This is going to be great to use to either keep drinks cold that you can't fit in your refrigerator, in your camper, or you can put the temperature down to a freezing temperature and use it to freeze meat that you're going to cook later or things like that. So it's going to be a great supplemental fridge for you. It's not just limited to your adventures. Now, this cooler does feature a durable steel-reinforced lid and sides, so this is going to be very durable. And the corners, as you can see, they are also reinforced so they are going to protect not only the exterior of the cooler but also the interior.

The space-saving handles that we have on either end here are going to fold down flush with the sidewalls so they are not in your way. And they're spring-loaded, so they're just going to, when you're done using them, you can just let it go and they're just going to drop down back outta your way. Now, I also wanted to point out that on either side right there and right there, we have bottle openers that's going to give you instant access to your favorite beverage. And this weighs about 39 pounds, so it's durable enough for any adventure, and it's going to be light enough to remove from your vehicle and put back in storage when you are finished with your trip. Now, I did take some measurements before our time together.

The overall length of this cooler is sitting right at about 24 inches long. The overall width, we are sitting right at 13 inches wide. And then, the overall height from top to bottom, we're sitting right at about 17 inches tall. Now, I do wanna point out that this lid is removable for easy loading and unloading. So all you have to do is pull back on the lid.

And then, that's going to pop right off as you can see. And then, it's gonna be very easy to replace. Just pop it back on the hinges there, and we are good to go. So very simple to remove, very simple to replace, and it's gonna make loading and unloading your cooler very easy. Now, taking a look at the top, you can just kinda see what the top of our lid looks like. But I wanted to give you a view of the inside of this cooler. Inside, we have a fully refrigerated stepped compartment. And this compartment has a temperature range from -8 degrees Fahrenheit to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. So you can again use this as a refrigerator or you can use it as a freezer. Now, we do also have removable baskets that's going to make loading and unloading this very easy. Let me go back to my wide-view real quick just so you can see the size of this basket. So this is our top basket. And then, this basket is our lower basket there. So this kinda gives you an idea of the size of each of the baskets. Easy to remove, easy to replace, so it's going to help you with loading and unloading. And then, especially if you need to clean this out, those basket's going to pop right out for you. Now, this has a capacity as I mentioned earlier of 32 quarts. So you can fit about 32 12-ounce cans inside of this cooler. And you're going to have head room for upright standing bottles right here in this area. So you're gonna have quite a bit of space in this cooler. We also have an LED light in here in the interior that's going to make it easy to find items in low-light conditions, especially when you're looking for a late-night snack. I'm gonna turn the lights off here in my studio real quick. And hopefully, that gives you an idea of just how bright this is. For me, I can easily see the entire interior of our cooler. So that is a nice addition to this cooler. And then, when you close the lid, that light is going to turn off just like your refrigerator at home. I did wanna point out that we do have a drain plug right there at the bottom of the compartment that's going to allow water to flow out. And again, it's going to make cleanup very easy. Now, this cooler is going to plug into your vehicle's 12-volt DC outlet or your 110-volt AC outlet. And as you can see, I do have this connected to my AC outlet here in my studio with the included cable here. This does also include the 12, 24-volt DC connector cable. So this is going to be ready to go either with your standard outlet or with your DC outlet, and you'll have the flexibility with powering it those ways. And the energy-efficient design is going to limit the power use with an average hourly amp draw of 0.5 amps. Now, the temperature is controlled by this exterior panel with LED display and it can be controlled via Bluetooth through the smartphone app as well. I'm gonna show you that in just the next minute or so. This display shows the set point and the actual temperature inside of the cooler. And so this control panel features of course our power button, our turbo button, and that turbo button can be activated to cool down your cooler faster. That's gonna kick the compressor up to run just a little bit harder so your cooler will cool down quicker. And so that's a great feature that this cooler offers. And so you can easily turn that on or off with this button. Then, we also have our power indicator light, which also doubles as a fault indicator light. And then, our turbo light, when you have that turbo on, that light will light up. Then, when you turn it off, it will turn off as well. And then, we have our LED display, our mode button right here, and then our temperature setting button. Now, I did mention the app and I do have that installed here on my smartphone. And I'm really impressed with this app. It's going to check, it's also gonna check the battery voltage and control the battery discharge protection, and it's going to display error messages. So as you can see on my LED display on my cooler, it says 40 degrees and then my app shows 40 degrees. And then, I can change that temperature. And if you notice up here, it's changing that in real time. So I kicked it up to 43 degrees, and our display is changing almost in real time. So very quick and very easy to use. And I can control all of the features of this cooler through the app. The app is a free download, and it's available on whatever smartphone platform you are using. Now, I did mention the AC connection and the DC connection, but we do have another DC connection here on the opposite side. So you're going to have maximum flexibility when you have this in your vehicle, and you're not gonna have to worry about which side to put where in your vehicle. You're gonna have a quick and easy access to that DC connection. We also have a USB port that's going to allow you to conveniently charge your smartphone or other devices. And I wanted to point out a pretty great feature that this has as well. It's called the emergency override switch. So for normal operation, the switch is going to stay right where it's at in the normal use position. But if an electronic control or display board failure happens, you would just simply slide this over to the emergency override position, and this cooler will run with full cooling capacity and it may freeze the items inside, but it's going to make sure that your items are not going to spoil or not going to get warm. So it's going to run at full capacity until you're able to get this somewhere to where you can figure out what's wrong with the cooler. So instructions are included with this cooler to walk you through in a little more detail the features that we mentioned and plus to make make sure that you're using this the way it was designed. I mentioned that it comes with the AC cable and the the DC cable as well. And one final thing that I wanted to mention is Truma also makes an insulated cover for this cooler. And this is a form-fitting cover that's going to increase the efficiency and protect your Truma cooler. It also includes a pocket that's gonna provide storage for cords, utensils, and other supplies.
