Today we're going to take a look at the Replacement Awning Extension Rod for Solera Slide-Topper Awning. This is going to come in black, and it's going to measure 18 and five-eighths of an inch long, and it comes as a quantity of one.This is going to be our direct replacement part from Lippert Components to replace your Solera black extension rod. This is the portion that slides from your slide out bracket into your awning. This is a very important piece, and a lot of times it can get bent or maybe broken. So this is going to replace that for you. Again, it is going to measure 18 and five-eighths of an inch.

It's going to be about one inch wide, going from the peak of one of those hexes to the other. But again, this is going to be a direct replacement, so it will fit with your hex bar extension bracket.Now if you need the bracket itself, we do have that available here at etrailer.com. The part number for that is going to be LC27224412. That's going to do it for our look at the Replacement Awning Extension Rod for Solera Slide-Topper Awning in black.

The arm broke out of the blue while we were at a camp near home. I was really panicking about getting this replaced before our next trip in two weeks. Through some researching I found the right part but couldn’t find any installation instructions (youtube or anywhere else. I read the Q&A on the order page on the etrailer website for that part. Troubleshooting A Solera Slide Out Awning That's Touching The Corner Of The Flange
The reason why the extension rod of your Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000168107 is touching the corner flange piece is either because you have too large of an awning installed or the awning isn't centered on the slide out. If the tension isn't properly split between the two rods then it will pull too much on one side and start touching the flange. I recommend replacing the Extension Rod for your slide topper. With your current rod being bent even if you were able to bend it back straight it will more easily bend in the future or could break.
