Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting or splicing required.
Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind your rear bumper.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins plug-in simple vehicle wiring harness with the four-pole flat trailer connector. This product fits a 2007 to 2009 Chevrolet Equinox and Pontiac Torrent. You can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com to make sure this is a fit for your vehicle. It's going to provide a four-way flat connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. Now, this is compatible with five-pole, six-pole and seven-pole adapters. If you need an adapter, they are sold separately.
It's going to come with a dust cover. That way you can cover up the connection points whenever your plug's not being used. The unit's designed to connect quickly and easily. All you've got to do is locate the connection point in the rear cargo area. I do want to mention that this does come with detailed installation instructions that are going to help walk you through the entire process step-by-step. Locate the connection point and simply plug in this connector.
It's custom fit for your vehicle. It's going to match it perfectly with the port on the vehicle and it's going to snap-lock together for a nice tight secure fit. Once you have that connected, you'll need to install the relays and the fuses. The relay is provided with the kit. Install in the fuse and relay box under the hood of the vehicle on the driver's side. The included fuses install in that same fuse and relay box.
The kit's going to provide three 10-amp fuses. Once you have that done you can secure any excess or slack in the wiring with the included cable ties. When the four-way flat's not in use, it can be stowed in the rear cargo area of the vehicle. It's also recommended that you use a small amount of terminal grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle and the four-pole connector itself. It's designed to help prevent corrosion and the grease is included with the kit.
That's going to do it for today's look at the Hopkins plug-in simple vehicle wiring harness with the four-pole flat trailer connector.

I believe the best way to assist you with the installation of the harness is to have you look for the connector that is located at the floor of the tire jack compartment and attached by a plastic clip. If you are not able to find it please reach out to us.
