This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant. The hitch I bought was delivered on-time. The quality is good, as expected. The tags indicated that the hitch was actually manufactured soon after it was ordered. The hitch, as designed, fits well. It looks very good on the truck. However 2 of the 6 bolts it relies on for mounting, are supposed to go into nuts that were welded into the frame by the manufacturer. I wasn't expecting that. My vehicle is 19 years old. The treads of those nuts we're lost to rust long ago, and the bolts won't thread in. So I'm needing to use a different strategy, and I haven't towed with it yet as a result.
Bolted right up to my '99 Rodeo. It was a great touch that the fish wire tool was included. It made the install very easy.
The hitch appears well constructed and was easy to install - EXCEPT they put a bend in the bar "to allow for the license plate" (which is roughly 4" behind the plate and wasn't necessary on the 1999 Isuzu Rodeo). The problem is that this bend leaves the mounting plate on the passenger side at an angle to the rest of the hitch and, most importantly, to the frame. It is necessary to pull the front end of the passenger side plate about 5/8" toward the center of the car to make the holes fit. I would recommend that this process be done before trying to install the hitch. I just used a comealong attached between the driver side plate (attached near the centerline of the hitch bar so it wouldn't get bent) and the front tip of the passenger side plate. (I would include a picture if I had thought to take one at the time.)
Good quality, lined up with all existing mounting fasteners as advertised. Had to bend exhaust a little and loosen bumper to ease installation. Best priced unit I have seen. Will definitely recommend.
On 12-02-2013 I placed my order. I selected the standard (5 to 7 business day) shipping, S&H was FREE. To my surprise my order was given special priority and upgraded to the 3 to 5 Day Express Shipping at no additional cost to me. Just three days later, on 12-05-2013, I received my order. I just want to say thank you for treating me so good.
