With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.
Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball
The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.
When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.
Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.
Simple, Custom Installation
This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.
Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.

Has been working well. Although it's a DIY project, I had it installed by my mechanic. Did an excellent job and I've not had any issues. As this is only 1 year old installed, I give 4 stars. Still solid in bed and looks good. Hauling my 14k 5th wheel has been much easier than installing a 5th wheel hitch and losing bed space. I would recommend this product.

Shipping was super fast and the Product was exactly what I was looking for. Fits flush with the bead and out of the way for anything you decide to haul. And the ball is stored in place without having to keep it somewhere else. Only issue I had was with Chevrolet. They had one of the nuts welded in crooked and I had to do some adjusting on one of the holes. Everything else was perfect. Very well made and instructions are pretty decent. Items received in 2 days and packaging was in good shape. I was fortunate enough to be able to install the hitch and harness where I work using our lift which made installing way easier. But, it could be done on the ground. I have an 8 foot bed so I only had to lower the tailpipe to allow just enough room to install the front crossmember. I used 2 lady slippers to help line up the bulky hitch plate which In my opinion was the hardest part of the assembly. Between hitch install and 7 way extension, start to finish it took me a little over 2 hours to complete. Etrailer was great to deal with and the B&W product is a quality American product.

I installed this myself in our brand new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 LT regular box. Drilling holes in the bed was nerve wracking, but I measured twice and followed the instructions carefully and it turned out great! A person asked me later if it was factory installed because it looks so good! We have used it to tow our 13K fifth wheel with Reese Goosebox and B&W offset ball for almost a year now and we love it!

The kit arrived in 2 days. The installation process was not that difficult with the proper tools. The only reason for a 3 star rating is because the ball has machining gouges. I would expect that the main point of connection would be inspected and smooth.

I finally pulled the trigger on getting a gooseneck ball installed in my 2022 Chevy. My biggest hang up was knowing I had to drill a 4 inch hole in my truck bed. Ordered and received 2 days later and installed the following day. Took me about 4 hours to install. Did it without a lift and know if I could have had the truck in the air it would have been a lot faster then crawling around under the truck but still very doable. Very well thought out and quality parts. Could throw in a paint marker to touch up bare metal after drilling holes but not a big deal. Can’t wait to hook up to a gooseneck trailer and pull for the first time.

The video explains it all. I used the manual and watched etrailer's video install was straight forward it didn't say anything about re installation of the exhaust heat shield but I modified mine and installed it afterwards. Took less than 3 hours with the install of the bed harness and hitch.I have a two post lift which made it a breeze

When I got my truck (Covid) the factory gooseneck prep package was not available at the time. I got the B&W turnover instead and I am 100% happy with it. I ended up getting a deal on a used companion 5th wheel hitch and the combination is simple and easy to use.

First, my critique of trailer: item was well packaged and shipped fast, but if you order more than one item you have to watch your status, as a single back ordered item will hold up your entire order with no notification unless you see the delay and you tell them to split the order.
As for the hitch: I’ve been a long time loyal B&W customer and still am. Installation instructions were easy to follow and very detailed. Everything went in as described except I had to trim a bit off a heat shield which wasn’t mentioned. Only complaint is peeling paint from part of the center piece. This is the second time I’ve had to touch up a B&W product during installation. No signs of mishandling, the powder coat just didn’t bond in some areas.

Very heavy duty goose ball. Love that the bed is mostly free of obstructions when not using the hitch.
Install took 2.5 hours for two of us and we did have access to a hydraulic lift. I couldn’t imagine trying this install alone or without the lift mostly because of how heavy this hitch is and the bolts/nuts you need to be able to reach and torque down. The worst part was drilling a 4” hole in the bed of a new truck, very nerve racking! I also like that this is custom fit for my truck and there were no hes that needed to be drilled in the frame, everything lined up perfectly.
The etrailer install video was key, very informative and so much better than the instructions that came with the hitch. Delivery of the hitch was fast, only 4 days after ordered.
