Lifesaver for me. Could not get into truck bed otherwise. Works well even in winter and with mud.

Installed on a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500 crew cab. Step fits perfectly and operates smoothly. Instructions can be a bit confusing since it is designed to fit several year models. A installation video like the one for the rear step would be helpful. Still not sure how to use the adjustable screw on the crossbar mount.
These steps are everything they said they were. Installed them myself with basic tools. Had to make a couple minor adjustments to the mounts but not a problem.
When I got my brand new 2013 Ford F150 with 8'-0 bed I knew I needed a side step . But looking at sidesteps on line, most brands didn't show how it would connect to the underside of my truck! They would just have a picture of the truck with the sidestep. But Bestop would also show how it would attach to my truck and that was the deciding factor for me!
Useful and easy-to-use and install. But pretty expensive, considering you can get a full set of running boards forest money.
I do really like these steps. They are great for a handicapped person and for anyone who is vertically challenged. With todays tall sided pickup beds in the heavy duty models these are a godsend for plucking things out of the bed or toolbox.
I found the greatest benefit for me is pulling the pin on a fifth wheel and placing the lock bar on the handle and putting your security pin or lock in whatever it may be.
These steps are extremely heavy duty and work really slick as far as the kick out and in. The only thing I found is that the instructions are oversimplified and not nearly as simple and quick to install as stated. The 30 minutes per side will definitely turn into a minimum of two hours. It is certainly doable and I am testimony to that at 65 years old and handicapped. You just have to take your time and a lot of it. The instructions, though, very plainly printed and even diagrams fail to make this a simple operation. I would do it again for the convenience they provide.
I would also like to mention Etrailer's great service and products and helpful and friendly staff. There was a delay in their shipment from the factory which they apprised me of and offered up some substitute products, but there really is no substitute for these steps.
The product seems to be well made and relatively easy to install. It how ever did not work for my needs on a 2017 Ram with an 8' box. The instructions called for mounting on the bed rail closest to the front of the bed. This made the reach to access the locking mechanism of the 5th wheel hitch quite a stretch. I looked at mounting it to the 2nd rail but the DEF lines are hard clamped at that point and interfered with the installation. I believe it would work well with a 6.5 foot bed.
I was smart enough to know the install was going to be hard. I paid Toyota to do the install while I was at a medical appointment. You really should have a rate system on how hard it is to do your own install. The product works at advertised and I am a heavy guy. The two guys doing the install said something to the effect "...I never thought my arm would fit like that to reach the bolt holes." This one had the gas tank in the way, so it was the hardest to reach anything. Also it was said the truck pictures did not match.
Although I was skeptical at first, this item did fit my 2012 GMC 2500HD Denali. Make sure you read through ALL the directions first, as there are different directions for different models...and because of that there will be parts left over. They provide different mounting parts for various types of bed supports. The fitting can be rather tight, such as the long 2-piece support bar that has to line up on it's bolt holes, so be prepared to pull on the main mounting bracket to get it to fit.
I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. Had to modify the product to get it to fit. Had to add a 1/4" shim to the top of the Top mounting bracket. And also had to bend the top of the side bracket to fit the locking block. But once installed step works great.
This fit my truck great once I figured out the directions. This enables me to get into my toolbox without having to climb into the bed.

I don't have a picture of our step , but it is every thing we wanted. when it is out it is the same height as our running boards.it is easy to pull out and put in. we are thinking of getting one more for our new truck.
Good quality product and correctly fits my truck. Installation took approx 1/2 hour. works as described and provides a solid step.
The order of 2 heavy items arrived on time as expected and apparently undamaged. Upon my request, etrailer packed and wrapped my heavy items together in a very sturdy box, stapled shut, in addition to the manufacturer packaging. This outer box was undamaged and the contents appear undamaged, though I have yet to open the items.
the side step and mud guards are a big hit with the person for whom they were a gift. Thats the best I could hope for. Follow up by the staff, Jason and Travis was exceptional. Happy to order from etrailer any time!
NIce piece of equipment. Much needed to get into the back of my truck bed. It tucks away nicely and was fairly easy install. The price is right and heavier construction would make it weigh more and raise the price for materials. Rick
