    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side interior trim panel in your rear cargo area.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

I've purchased this harness one year ago. The instructions were clear, and it was very easy to install. All you need to do is to pull off a rubber seal of the rear lift gate, unscrew one (or two, don't remember now) screw(s) on the rear left trim panel, and slightly open up that panel. The vehicle's harness is right there, so you'd just plug this one into it, and then run it under the plastic threshold to the center of the van. All the trailer's lights (running lights, break lights and turn signals) work nicely now.. It also can be easily hid from the view under the rear plastic threshold when not towing, and pulled out when towing. The wires and insulation feel solid yet flexible. Happy with the product.

After a year, no issues with the harness.

Wiring harness fit my 2008 Chevy Uplander as advertised. I just had to open the interior wall of the vehicle, plug in the harness into an existing receptacle and I have trailer lights. Great product at a very reasonable price

2006 Chevrolet Uplander

The wiring harness I purchased fit exactly as advertised, went in easily and worked great! The only problem I had was that the vehicle did not have a hole to run the wiring to the outside. This was quickly solved with a hole saw.

Still working as good as the first day it was installed.

As always, e trailer came through with a simple solution for a sometimes difficult problem. Great quality, reasonable price and great customer service. I have purchased several items in the past and will continue to be a loyal customer. The harness is simple to install and all components are top quality.

It functions perfectly, just as the day I installed it. I am and will remain a loyal customer.

This makes trailer wiring a total Breeze!
I remember the old days of trying to hardwire things in. You paid about the same money and it took forever. This works with simply plugging it in. How can you go wrong!

2005 Buick Terazza

Wiring harness worked perfectly for my 2005 Buick Terazza. I was able to find the connector to use by pulling back the drivers side plastic panel (didn't have to remove the entire panel). My connector was located just behind the compressor for the rear air unit. The connection was straight forward. The hardest part was trying to determine how to route the harness through the vehicle to the hitch area. I ended up running the cable through the tail light grommet on the drivers side and down between the bumper and frame.

Well worth the $$ not to have to splice and figure out which wire does what.

by:

This was a very straightforward installation, even better that some I had purchased for previous vehicles. Just Plug in, some light trim panel r&r, a little cable tie work.

by:

Easy to install. Only complaint the harness could have been just a little bit longer. Otherwise great product.

Great product easy to install

by:

Great product, priced fair. I found it very easy and quick to install in my vehicle and it works great. I use it for connecting my trailer light to my tow vehicle, and have found no problems at all. I would tell my friends that need to do wireing to look you up.

by:
2007 Chevrolet Uplander

Don't have a picture, but installation of the harness in my 2007 Chevy Uplander was a 'piece of cake' - my van was set up for the 'T-connection'. And, it worked without a hitch on a [rental] trailer.

by:
2007 Chevrolet Uplander

quick and painless install. Loosened LH rear side panel on my 07 uplander, located the unused connector in the harness just in front of the taillight and behind the rear a/c unit. Plugged in. Tested works great.

by:

The hitch got delivered before the shipping notice arrived!! Perfect fit and finish (as usual) Had to change wrenches a lot as both metric and inch sizes in use. With cleaning rust and restoring threaded holes and painting around, reality install time (working alone) about 3 hrs, incl. wiring.

  • Installing a CURT Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2005 Chevy Uplander
The CURT Trailer Wiring Harness, # 56077, that you have is a fit for the 2005 Chevy Uplander. To find the correct plugs on your vehicle look for the ones coming from the tail lights that carry brake, running, and turn signal functions. Chances are those may be what you need. The instructions, linked for reference, show what the connectors you need should look like. However, it is also possible that the connection point is located under the cargo floor on the passenger side of the vehicle....

  • Where Does Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Install on a 2005 Buick Terraza
For your 2005 Buick Terraza if you are using Curt harness # 56077 the connection points on the vehicle are located behind the driver side tail light. I have included a link to the right to the installation instructions. I have also included a picture that shows the location.

  • 7-Way Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2005 Pontiac Montana SV6
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 56077. From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake...

  • Connection Point for Curt Trailer Wiring Harness 56077 on a 2007 Chevy Uplander
I am sure you are looking in the right place but there are two possible options for what you might see. If a loose connector is not behind the driver side trim panel in the cargo area of your 2007 Chevy Uplander then it may already be connected to the tail light wiring. You would have to unplug that connection and insert the Curt wiring harness connectors in between that factory connection so the 4-Way end branches off of it. If that also is not present then you may need to pull up additional...

  • Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander
Both the Tekonsha T-One # 118396 and the Curt T-Connector # 56077 wiring harnesses will work for your 2008 Chevrolet Uplander like you mentioned, and out of both options I recommend the Curt simply because it's much easier to install but still produces the same result. The Curt plugs into a factory connector while the Tekonsha tees in behind the tail lights. So both options fit your vehicle, but the Curt is just easier to install since you only need to access that one side of the vehicle. Both...

  • 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness for 2006 Chevrolet Uplander Without Tow Prep Package
If your 2006 Chevrolet Uplander has a tow package connector behind the rear driver's side trim panel then Curt harness # 56077 is the correct wiring harness. It sounds like you have checked and have no such connector. If there is no tow package connector there then you can still install Tow Ready 4-Pole Harness # 118396 which will instead plug in behind each of the two taillight assemblies. The linked video shows this harness installed in a 2006 Uplander like yours.

  • Fit of Curt T-Connector Trailer Harness # 56077 on 2008 Pontiac Montana SV6 Mini Passenger Van
The Curt trailer wiring harness you referenced, # 56077, is indeed a correct fit for the 2008 Pontiac Montana SV6 made for the Canadian market. This plug-in harness provides a flat 4-pole trailer connector. You might consider a mounting bracket # 18144.

  • Can You Pull Tandem Trailer with 2007 Chevy Uplander Ls with Class 3 Hitch
The 2007 Chevrolet Uplander with a Class III hitch has a 4,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight (6,000 lbs) with weight distribution. You should not experience problems when towing, assuming the tongue weight of your trailer will not exceed 400 lbs and the total weight of the trailer will not exceed 4,000 lbs (or 6,000 lbs with weight distribution). I also did some research on your 2007 Chevrolet Uplander and found that the maximum recommended towing capacity for this vehicle is 3,500 pounds....

  • Wiring Harness Location on 2005 Chevrolet Uplander for Installing Curt 4-Pole Harness # 56077
The trailer wiring connectors on the 2005 Chevrolet Uplander should be located behind the driver's-side rear trim panel as noted in the written instructions and the linked video showing a 2006 Uplander. Some Uplander models will have a single connector and other models will have a connector already mated with another. In other words, there may not be an open connector on some vehicles and you may have to separate them to create the connection point. If already mated to another connector,...
