Installing a CURT Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2005 Chevy Uplander
Question:
I am trying to install this wiring harness, the directions say I should find the same type connector male or female on the drivers side. I did find a connector on both the drivers side and the pasengers side off of a power harness, but it is a different style connector. Do I need some sort of adapter for this to work or am I just not seeing it. The package says it is for my make and model 05 Chevy Uplander. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The CURT Trailer Wiring Harness, # 56077, that you have is a fit for the 2005 Chevy Uplander. To find the correct plugs on your vehicle look for the ones coming from the tail lights that carry brake, running, and turn signal functions. Chances are those may be what you need. The instructions, linked for reference, show what the connectors you need should look like.
However, it is also possible that the connection point is located under the cargo floor on the passenger side of the vehicle. So you can also check there for the correct plugs.
