Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And today, we're taking a quick look at the Spring Support RV Cabinet Door Hinges. These are going to help to support a cabinet door that swings up, or you can also use them for a cabinet door that swings out. But they are spring loaded, so they're going to kind of pop up and help to support that door, so probably best for those upward swing doors. These come like this, where they're laid out flat.
They measure four and an eighth inch long in total. This is going to be when your door is open. And then as that door closes, they're going to spring shut. It's kind of hard to show you without them actually being mounted to anything. But you can see here, it's going to spring shut to that right angle and then open back out.
You can see there is a little bit of force behind these guys. They should be pretty good for holding up your door.It does have a little label on one side to help distinguish which one should go on the door portion versus the actual inner cabinet. It comes with the hardware to mount it in place, so we'll get several screws here. It looks like we get two, four, six, eight, 10 screws. Five per hinge.
Again, I'll do that demonstration of it opening and closing. See that. And then it closing down. This is the door side. See, there's a little embossed label there.
It says, "door" or "port" for door. And again, about four and an eighth inch long.Have a couple different mounting holes to choose from here, so it will just kind of depend on if you had some original hardware that you're replacing. A lot of them are slotted so you have a little bit of adjustment. But from the furthest point out, it's about three inches. To the inner set, it's about one and a half inches. So between the two, it's about three quarters of an inch. Show you that here. Three inches. One and a half, and about three quarters of an inch. Width wise, overall, it's about one and three quarter inches. From the outside of each flange to the center of the mounting holes, it's about one and a quarter.Again, we'll get plenty of mounting hardware to get that installed. We get the two hinges, so we'll have one for either side of that door. They are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. And that's pretty much all there is it for these guys. They are going to be a metal construction and should be a great addition to replace the existing hinges on your RV cabinet doors. If you need any other replacement parts or accessories for your RV, we've got you covered right here at etrailer.com so check out what we got for you. Thanks for watching.

Spring support hinges are used to keep overhead RV cabinet doors open to make it easier to load and unload items. Comes with mounting screws.Just what we needed! A failed oven led to a remodel and new ovens in an existing cabinet. We ended up with an odd leftover space not big enough for much more than a broiler pan and a pizza spatula, but too big to be left open. These hinges were the perfect size and style to add a door that stays open while you get things out.
These hinges worked well for my trailer conversion. I changed my overhead kitchen cabinet doors from swinging sideways to have them swing up. etrailer came thru with one problem I experienced. I ordered two sets of hinges, one for each cabinet door. One set worked just fine, but the second set would not hold the cabinet door up; there was not enough force in the hinges to keep the door in the open position. Upon notifying etrailer they sent me another set of hinges to replace the defective set. Now both doors can stay up when moved to the open position and the project is a success.
FYI: my cabinet doors are 22" wide and 12" tall, and the wood is very lightweight.
I got these to replace some on a 21-year old moho, and as we all know, the manufacturing industry has to re-invent itself every few years just so YOU cannot replace worn out parts with exact new ones. These came close enough that I was able to use 4 of the existing 8 holes with a pretty decent fit and position match-up to the remaining cabinet doors. Note in the pictures also how the new hinges keep the door up better. The old hinge is what I replaced.
I'm going to order a couple more sets of these before the industry decides to re-invent them yet again.
Not real pleased with this product. Installation was not difficult had to add some backing for the hinge to sit on. But, the hinges do not hold the door up in the open position, when open it will close on its own. The doors are 18 5/8"w by 12 5/8" tall and not real heavy. Is there a heaver duty hinge available in the same size?
Great quality product! Very fast service & delivery! Also great follow-up from Carol at etrailer company!
Nice product for very lightweight and for smaller doors. These worked for
my two smaller doors as replacements to failing hinges. The doors were approx.
18" wide x 12"tall. My cabinet doors are solid Oak so they are hefty.
For my larger overhead cabinet doors I will be ordering exact replacement
hinges: H-HS100-SN, the SN=Satin Nickel.
In your online video, it might be good to mention how much weight a pair
of these hinges are rated for. The video was excellent in giving me a good
idea on how the hinges function.
I will toss my unused pair of these hinges in my "Misc. RV" box of goodies. I'm
sure I will use them later....
I received my products in three days from UPS normal ground, faster then I expected.
Thank you for a good experience.
Well made, slightly larger and heavier than the original equipment, but won't hold the door open.
Exactly what I needed to replace the plastic hinges that keep breaking
they were very happy
Not a perfect replacement for the old product, but as I have not been able to find that, these were a good fit.
My husband is very impressed by these.
Hinges seem to be good quality. They are made for overlay style doors, not inset doors on a face frame, which is what I needed.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words then a video is work a million. I did some digging and found that we do not have a stronger version of these spring supports for your cabinets however you should be able to use these struts, part # 37270545 to add more resistance for keeping the cabinets open. The spring supports are really designed for standard RV cabinets that use a very thin, cheap, lightweight wood.
