Specs:
The NOCO GX3626 industrial battery charger provides commercial grade performance in a compact and portable design. With 26-amps of charging power, it can easily charge and maintain 36V batteries rated up to 425 amp-hours. This means it's great for charging golf carts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, floor care machines, and utility vehicles. An integrated inhibit feature prevents equipment with an inhibit function from being operated while charging. The durable aluminum housing is built to withstand harsh operating environments, while multi-stage charging keeps your batteries in peak condition.
The GX3626 was designed to provide a simple, user-friendly experience. Back-lit LED indicators let you verify that the unit is operating correctly, and allow it to be easily operated at night. These indicators signal the battery's charge status and alert you to potential performance issues or errors. This allows you to identify if the unit is too hot or cold for operation or detect a reversed polarity connection to a battery.
The touch-button interface allows you to turn the unit on or off and select your charging mode. A plastic cover twists into position over the interface to deter others from changing the settings while the charger is in use. Once the cover is secured into position you don't have to worry about anybody accidentally hitting the mode button.
The GX3626 has 6 charging modes that cover a wide range of applications, ensuring it will hold its value down the road as your needs change. Traditional battery chargers generally only work with a specific battery type, like lithium-ion or AGM batteries, or only in special circumstances like charging in cold environments. The NOCO GX3626 gives you the versatility to tackle different battery types and charging situations in one charger.
The table above details the available charging profiles and applications for the GX3626. The charger works with 36V wet cell, gel cell, enhanced flooded, calcium, maintenance-free, AGM, and lithium-ion batteries with battery management systems (BMS). The 36V repair mode lets you restore lost capacity to sulfated and old batteries. Supply mode provides a DC power supply for troubleshooting low-voltage batteries or equalizing unbalanced battery systems.
The NOCO GX3626 smart charger uses a 9-stage charging cycle to quickly and efficiently charge your battery. This ensures that the battery safely reaches maximum capacity without being overcharged.
In the first step of the charging process, the charger will analyze the battery's condition and state of charge. The charger then uses this data to diagnose the battery's health and ensure it can be safely charged. If the battery is deeply discharged or sulfated, the charger will automatically enter the recovery stage to repair the battery by pulsing small amounts of current.
Once the unit has determined the battery's condition is stable, it will initialize the charging process by providing a constant, gentle charge. Entering the opportunity stage, it begins charging at a high current. As the charger enters the bulk stage, it adjusts to the battery and slowly steps down the charge for optimal charging, and brings the battery to 80-percent capacity.
As the battery nears full charge, the GX3626 enters the absorption stage and delivers small amounts of current to limit battery gassing and safely bring the battery to 90-percent capacity. The charger will then begin optimization of the battery, bringing it to full capacity and optimizing it for increased run time and performance.
The final step of the charging process, maintenance, monitors the battery for drops in power and supplies the correct current to keep it fully charged. If a drop in voltage is detected, the charger will begin the optimization cycle to keep the battery fully charged.
Extra-large 13/32" eyelet connectors mount directly to your battery's terminals. The lie-flat design ensures maximum contact with terminals to optimize current transfer. A built-in 50-amp fuse protects your connection against dangerous overloads.
The GX3626 was built to handle tough industrial and commercial environments. The unit has an IP66 rating, which means it can withstand multi-directional, low-pressure water jets and is completely sealed against dirt, dust, oil, and other non-corrosive materials. The aluminum housing resists corrosion and withstands shock and vibration for endless hours of operation. Heavy-duty strain reliefs reduce stress on the cables and stand up to heavy usage.
The GX3626 was designed for flexible operation around the worksite with a full line of available GX accessories (all sold separately). The charger's input and output cables can be changed out to match your specific application. This means you can swap out the eyelets for other connections like an Anderson SB50, 2-pin, 3-pin, or Powerhouse D-type plug. You can also swap out the standard AC plug for other AC input configurations (sold separately) should work take the charger abroad.
The GX3626 comes with a remote LED auxiliary port that can be used to connect external LEDs (sold separately) to let you monitor charging. This is great for keeping tabs on the unit's operation when the charger's interface and LEDs are not accessible. The port supports 2 LEDs, and it reverses the polarity between the charging identifier and the error indicator.

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the NOCO Genius 36-volt UltraSafe Industrial Battery Charger. Now, this is a portable automatic battery charger and maintainer; helps you keep a charge on both deep-cycle lead-acid, and lithium-ion batteries. This one is designed for charging 36-volt batteries. It's ideal for batteries up to 425 Ah. It's perfect for charging electric vehicles like a golf cart, scissor lift or pallet jack and it is suitable for both on- and off-board applications. It can also be used to maintain a full charge on your batteries.Right up the front, here, has this nice water-proof, tamper-proof interface collar that can be unscrewed to access the mode button right here. Gonna zoom in just so we can talk about that, so you can see it better. Now, this mode button right up here just allows you to select which charging mode is needed.
It's a versatile six-in-one battery charger. Basically you just simply push that button to switch the charging modes, and then right over here there'll be LED indicators that illuminate when the charging mode is selected. The six charging modes, starting with the top one, will be a 36-volt warm mode. Right under that will be a 36-volt cold/AMG mode, and under that a 36-volt AMG plus mode, 36-volt lithium-ion mode, and then the two bottom modes are a repair mode and supply mode. Now, this does offer an auto memory feature, which remembers the last charge mode if accidentally unplugged or power is lost. The charge LEDs will add a visual right over here in the center. There'll be LEDs that'll light up and it'll have separate LEDs for the amount of charge on your battery.
So, if one lights up, it's a 25% charge. Two light up, it'll be 50%. Three LEDs will be 75%, and if all four of 'em light up, it'll be 100% charged.Does use advanced diagnostics to analyze your battery feedback, displays an error pattern if a problem is detected. Right over here, there's a error LED and then right above it a standby LED, and it'll flash between those two to determine the problem. You can tell the problem by what type of flash it is.They have a single flash, a double flash, triple flash, quadruple flash, and then the error LED is a solid red lit up.
It's reverse polarity. If the standby LED is a solid orange, that means the battery voltage is too low for the battery charger to detect the battery. Now we're just gonna zoom out, talk a little bit more about this. It has built-in battery maintenance technology. It'll monitor your battery activity. Begins charging when needed, allows for continuous operation without supervision, and there's zero risk of overcharging your battery.Does have an inhibit function, which prevents electric vehicles from moving while charging and accidental damage to the connected cabling system.
The inhibit port will contain a 20-amp relay. It will close when connected to the AC power and disables the vehicle. Does offer a built-in battery desulfator, which will rejuvenate underperforming batteries, recovers deeply discharged batteries down to two volts. This is a nice, compact, powerful charger. Additionally converts your AC power into a safe DC power for battery charging. Uses an on-board micro computer which will control the charging to minimize your power loss. This does work well with the interchangeable X-Connect battery accessories that we do sell separately on our website. Provides quick and easy accessory changes.Power consumption on this is 936 watts maximum. The DC cable, right over here, is fused. Does have a 50-amp fuse built in to it, has the eyelets for connection. The DC cord length is 76 inches. On this end is the AC cable. Has a type-A plug included, and the AC cord length is also 76 inches.Last thing I wanna do is just give you a few dimensions on the whole box, itself. Overall, from end to end is gonna be right at 12 inches long. Width is gonna be right at eight-and-a-half inches wide, and the total height is gonna be right at three-and-seven-eights inches tall.Does come with a nice user's guide and a couple extra strain release for your cables when you connect 'em.But that should do it for the review on the NOCO Genius 36-volt UltraSafe Industrial Battery Charger.
