Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
Circuit-Protected Tail Light Converter
A tail light converter is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. The tail light converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
This converter safeguards itself and your vehicle against possible electrical shorts and overloads with integrated short circuit protection. Just install the connector as indicated and rest assured that the wiring system of your vehicle will remain feedback-free.

I've had a trailer hitch for about 3 yrs now but nobody had a quick connect wiring harness till I found this one. I didn't follow the directions to an exact "T" because I wanted my 4-flat plug to stay inside the car unless I'm hauling somthing. But I had the whole thing installed in about 20 mins. Best investment I've made. I'm trailering my new motorcycle next week. At least now I won't have to borrow trucks and such. I can go buy my own trailer. Worth the extra $ for quick connect. I ORDERED A TOW HITCH AND WIRING KIT FOR MY SATURN VUE. IT CAME THREE DAYS LATER, EARLIER THEN PROMISED. NOT ONLY WAS THE PACKAGE COMPLETE, BUT IT FIT ONTO MY VEHICLE LIKE A GLOVE. NOW MY FAMILY AND I CAN HIT THE LAKE THIS SUMMER WITH OUR NEW BOAT!!! VERY HAPPY WITH ETRAILER!!
I recently purchased the 118418 T-connector for my Saturn Vue to haul a Scout Trailer. Watched the video once and had this installed in 15 minutes. Super simple to install and use. Since I have a Reese tubular hitch, I had to buy an adapter to mount the plug in an odd place, but the connector itself works and that is all I need it to do.
E-trailer made it extremely simple to install a trailer light hook-up, in fact, I will be ordering another one soon for another vehicle and will have my 13 year old son install it.
Our order included everything that we needed. It arrived ahead of schedule and included clear written instructions. The online videos were extremely helpful as well. The product was as expected and well assembled. The directions were aided greatly by the Your Tube video and installation time was much less than expected. Because of the video I expected the mounting plate for the 4 pin connection this, however, was simply my mistake and I can order that bracket separately. Over all I am very pleased withthe product and ease of installation. Well done!
Videos did not show all detail for installation. Have to remove some additional panels to install wire harness correctly. I also had to swap some parts from one light assembly to the other just to get it to fit correctly. Didn't take too long to figure out, so wasn't to concerned. Wire harness was proper length and everything worked upon install.
really easy to install! the video e trailer has for this was a huge help. great product, looks like it will hold up well.

Thanks for checking in. The trailer hitch was great and held up fantastic. Only got to use it about 4 times, but it worked perfectly. The wiring harness matched perfectly and was a breeze to install. The SUV i mounted it on didnt have enough towing capacity for my new boat, so I ended up trading it in for a newer one that had a factory hitch pre-wired setup. So the hitch receiver and wiring stayed with the SUV upon trade in. I held on to the ball mounts and the other bars and have used them a bunch for towing and launching and they are working great. Really love the site and am shopping around for some other accessories like a roof rack and maybe some off road recovery gear as well.
The video made it easy. Popped a few of the wheel well "buttons" out and fed the wiring through the taillight assemblies. You can tuck the wiring up in the fascia or tie to the hitch frame, either way you really won't see it. We just hooked up the ground to the the quarter panel retaining bolt since it was right there anyway. No need to drill a hole in your vehicle. Tested the lights once it was all set up, no problems on either the Vue or the trailer.
Everything came in quick and correct. My threaded bolt holes in the frame of my vehicle were a little rusty, so I had a little trouble cleaning the rust out to receive the bolts that came with the hitch. I was not surprised though because the video I watched showed me how to clean out the bolt holes. Also two of the bolts would not go all the way in. Went to local hardware and bought two shorter bolts and fixed problem. Overall pretty simple. Would highly recommend.
Hitch and wiring harness fit perfectly on our 2005 Saturn Vue. Will use to pull fishing boat to Texas from Colorado. No issues that aren't common to any after market products. Checked order by phone, those folks were helpful. Like the product and the price.

The wiring harness turned out great, but when I read the installation instructions, I did not have the required tools to install it myself and had a local service shop install it (cost only $35). His installation was perfect.
Other than taking quite a bit of time chasing the threads in the frame rails, install with off with a problem.
Really liked the wiring harness. Easy plug in again no problem.
It was a fairly easy to install and works great.

Hitch arrived quickly, fit perfectly, install was very simple. Wiring harness was little more involved (due to removal of plastic panels)but directions were well written.
Really excited to use this plug and play system for my trailer lights. Old school cut strip and tape is eliminated. Just need to figure out where to rout and hide the wires.
A high quality product. However, the installation wasn't as fast and easy as the video and other reviews indicated. It took two of us over two hours to do the job. A hoist is advised-we used a roller jack. Once installed, the harness worked perfectly.
Helps wiring with out having to splice wires... Would have been a 5 star but one side was short and barley made it to the center of the back of my car, and the other side had what seemed like miles of extra length. Also the colors didn't match up with existing colors in the car. I was glade I tested to verify left & right before I ran the wires. But it was slick, just un-clip, add in middle, and re-clip. no splicing involved.
Kit is exactly like the picture and vids, easy as pie to install. Like everyone has stated, the wire to fish through is too short, needs to be longer but I guess they need to save costs lol. If you expand and flatten the wire completely straight, its just long to reach through.
Great product and service! Ordered wiring harness on Saturday, had it by Tuesday.Instructions were spot on and easy to follow. Didn't have to cut and splice any wires, everything plugged right up, wires were the perfect length, took less than an hour. I wish all my "projects" were this easy.Thanks!
