2018 Equinox LT without towing package.
Removed 3 mounting screws on plastic fascia to allow room for my hands/arms.
Had to pry dust cover off existing plug with small screwdriver.
Plugged in new wiring harness and tested for voltage ( Without installing new relays) all 3 circuits, brakes, blinkers and parking lights worked perfectly!
works like it should. Super easy to ins tall.
The only difficult thing to installing this harness is getting the cap off of the car's wiring harness. After sliding the red lock tab out, make sure you push on the black tab in front of the red sliding tab while pulling the cap off. Trust me. Without pushing on the black tab, the cap won't come off. Once that's off just plug in the new harness and route it to the area where the safety chains attach.
I plugged it in and it works fine. I use the tester that you have, which is a very convenient little gadget.
The trailer connector is still working great.

It works as intended.
Excellent product... I have a 2018 Chevy Equinox and this wiring harness along with the light tester worked great. The video by etrailer.com made it very easy to understand.This is the 1st time I attempted this type of wiring When I made the connection and then tested the lights and everything worked.... it was a big relief.

Very good plan-n-play harness, but the plug?
Only issue was the male pin came out of the plug after only a couple of uses. Had to splice a cord and plug on the fly as we were taking a trailer with us on a trip, so no time to return, warranty etc. Overall a nice product, but now I have a spliced cord, which isn't desirable.
I have never installed a hitch before and am 79 years old. I followed your videos of the install of the hitch and the wire harness. everything went well and no problems at all.
It took me about 2 hrs. thanks for the great design to fit my vehicle.
Fit perfect with my 2019 Chevy Equinox.
The only issue I found was with the relays. They don't fit very tight into the plug, and they don't snap into place. I ended up having to zip tie them in to make sure they stay in place.
I added some wire conduit around the wires and then double wrapped electrical tape around the length to protect it.
The trailer wire harness (curt) instructions tell you to install relays... The relays are not needed and the only place that it says that they "May" be needed is in the install video that is only listed under the equinox, not under the Terrain install only took one-two min. I just wish the install sheet was more clear!
This OEM tow package wiring connector is fairly priced, arrived within the timeframe indicated, well packaged, and ready to use. Following etrailer's online video instructions I easily installed and tested this item and it works perfectly.
Good simple product, but I returned it because my vehicle did not have the towing harness and fuses blocks from the factory.
Works great on my 2018 gmc terrain diesel. The relays were not necessary for my vehicle. Very simple plug and play easiest wiring job I have done. Plenty of wire so you can have plug where ever it needs to be. Very pleased. Thank you.
This was ordered and shipped same day. it was sent via snail mail but still got it in about 3 days. I would definitely recommend etrailer parts because they are exact fit - plug and play. Easy!
Simple and easy to install! Instructions could have been more specific for connector location (i.e. - under vehicle between bumper beam and body). Also supplied relays fit very loosely and required twisting the terminals slightly to get them to stay in contact.
The shipping was not good pade XX.00 on the next day air and got it 3 day after

Bought this to fit my 2019 Chev Equinox. Cheaper here than anywhere. Installed easy and worked like a charm. Much better than splicing into wires. I bought the vehicle end tester which made testing so much easier. I am on the east coast of Canada and would recommend etrailer to anyone.

The installation video made it easy, excellent product and great service. I recently purchased a hitch for my 2018 Equinox and that video also made the installation easy.
It was easy enough to install but the connections for the turn signals seemed to be a little loose inside the car

Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system.The instructions need to be clearer..such as the connection point is where the lights bulbs connect to the wiring harness is where the inline connector goes..thats why they say to remove the tail lights..otherwise, all went well… if I was to do this again,I I would go to U-Haul and let them do it..would be well worth it
Wiring harness worked well. Installation is relatively easy if you can follow directions. No issues in a year since installation.

Hitch is excellent, installation was straight forward quality is good. Purchased ball mount and ball to go with. Don’t forget the hitch pin like I did.
The lighting adapter kit was a bit of a disappointment. It works but installation was not easy on the Chevy Equinox. I was surprised to find that the controller requires 15 amps of power from a direct battery connection. I have installed trailer wiring on other vehicles that did not need battery power.

I probably sound like a broken record because all my reviews start the same. I ordered this and a trailer hitch to install on a friend of mines vehicle. Like always, the right stuff, the right price and on time. You help me keep my promises to friends and customers.
You will need a car lift to install the harness. You must raise and lower the vehicle at least 3 or 4 times. The last being to snake the power lead to the vehicle battery in a way so as not to pinch or burn it.I went to an auto electric shop to have it installed.

No problems so far.
Made wiring much easier
Good quality and straight forward install. The one thing I would have changed is the length of the lead wire from the control box to the drivers side tail light patch connector. All the other harness sections have more than adequate length, but in order to get enough slack in the lead to the drivers side connection, I had to tear off and re-place the control box up higher on the body in an area that is not as flat and suitable to mount it. 2 or 3 more inches on that lead wire would have made it so the box mounts very nicely on the lower flat side of the rear body rail. All in all, a good product, just might need a tweak to fit the new Equinox perfectly
Etrailer is a great company. Always my first choice for trailer parts.
I installed the wire harness using etrailer video guide without major issues. I used more tie wraps but that's just me.
After a year and a about 8000 miles with my trailer the harness works without any problem.
Vehicle is Chevy Equinox 2019 LT.
This is the 3rd order from etrailer and have never had a problem. The hitch was easy to install but you will need two people to hold the hitch in place while you put a couple bolts in place to secure it. I do not have a lift but using a jack and some stands will work just as well. My son and I were able to install it in just about 75 minutes. The online videos were perfect and document each step of the process. I also purchased a light kit as well but did not have the chance to install that yet. I will be doing that down the road and will let you know how I make out.
Chevrolet used different electrical connectors on different configurations of the same vehicle, such as on the Equinox, they used different wiring connectors on the LS, LT and Premier and whether or not the vehicle was delivered with a hitch, or not, and some had a built in wiring connector for subsequent trailer wiring, or not, and diesel powered units may or may not. Obviously this is confusing and I ordered the wrong kit for my application. I have a diesel LT. etrailer communicated extremely well and we solved the problem quickly, exchanging the first kit with the correct one. Great people. I thank Carol and Odelia
The install of this wire harness went very smooth after watching the video. The step by step narration made wasneasy to follow. It took about 2 hours in my driveway. The materials provided are all good quality too.
I needed this wire harness to pull a trailer with the hitch that I got and installed from Etrailer a few years ago. I have been using the hitch for a bike rack which has been very handy and solid. Great products that are simple to install at home!
The electrical harness worked out pretty good except the yellow wire going up to the left rear tailgate could have been a little bit longer for my car (equinox)
Installed the hitch on my 2020 LT1 Equinox. Easy install if you read the instructions and watch the video before you begin the install.

Your vehicle determines which wiring harness you need. Because you have a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox without a factory tow package - Non Premier, then you ordered the correct harness. If you do have a premier with no factory tow package you would need item # 118759. If you do have a factory tow package then there are two options to choose from: item # 118285 or item # C94FR.

I was told by a hitch installer that the hitch I was looking for would not be available for 3-4 weeks. I found the hitch on etrailer.com. ln three days the hitch was on my porch, along with the wiring harness. Had it installed the next day. Very pleased with the service. In the past I had always spliced-in the wires when installing wiring for a trailer hitch on a vehicle, but never again after seeing how simple this kit makes the job. With weather proof connectors that snap together, it will be much more reliable than the old splice method. And, it is impossible to wire it incorrectly, which could happen when you're looking for the right wire to splice into (or so I've heard).
I have actually had one installed since 2018 but due to an electrical problem in the trailer (short) it damaged the module. Thats good because it protected the cars electrical system from any damage. Once I replaced the module everything is working great again!
Wiring harness fit my vehicle perfectly with simple plug in installation and performs as expected every time I need to tow a trailer.
The video with step-by-step instructions worked out perfectly with no hiccups everything was as described in the description before purchase and installing the hitch and wiring harness was very easy and done in a timely manner highly recommended!
