In regards to flat-towing components, there are a few different brands such as Roadmaster, Blue Ox, or Demco to choose from. If you prefer one over another then that is fine but I think each excel in certain areas so I recommend mixing and matching. Yes, a converter is needed for a 2011 Jeep Liberty because one the tail light circuits are on separate wires and they need to be combined for a trailer and two the factory tail light circuits are not sufficient to power the lights on a trailer as well as the lights on the vehicle. In addition to wiring kit #118554 you will need to convert the 4-Way to connector to a connector that supports a 12 volt circuit. To adapt the 4-Way to match the trailer's connector, I would need to know which type of connector is on the trailer. For your 2007 Jeep Liberty, the wiring harness you have found in the photo is not the correct harness for your trailer wiring. The Multi-Plug T-One Connector Assembly for 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 20135 is the correct fit for your factory wiring if you have a factory tow package and has a rectangular shaped harness that it connects to with flat pin connections.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow.
