I recommend the Brophy # HSAB. This does not show in the fit guide for a 5-1/2' bed as that short of bed is not generally used for truck campers. So you have to go by how they install to finish verifying. The external bed rail width cannot be more than 5-1/2 inches wide. There will need to be at least 2 inches space under the lip of the bed rail. This install by clamping onto the bed rails of your truck, no drilling required.

As long as your camper is no longer than 8 feet, and you do not mind having the tie-downs permanently installed in the stake pockets, the # TDSF tie-downs would be my recommendation. Unlike the # HSSF, trimming or cutting the bed liner will not be required. The # TDHP tie down hardware will also be needed to attach the camper to the tie down bracket.

I called my contact at TorkLift and they told me that you can look under the front of yoru truck bed near the cab and see if you have a 4x4 inch space available, you can install part # TLR3500. You would need to drill through the 4x4 space on your frame to mount the tie-downs for your camper.

The Brophy Camper Hold Downs, Part # HSSF, install without drilling and use the included padded T-bar hardware to evenly distribute forces downward and inward toward the inside of the truck bed. You have a couple of places you can look for the center high mount stop light (CHMSL) circuit on your 2002 Chevrolet S-10.
First, if you have a trailer connector at the back of your S-10 you can check beneath the truck where the trailer wiring runs underneath.
