Will Camper Battery Connected To Truck Trailer Connector Drain Truck Battery
Question:
I have a 2004 Silverado 2500. Does the truck battery connect to the camper battery? If so how do you keep from running down the truck battery?

The 12V accessory line on the 7-way connector on your truck which is the pin in the 1 o'clock position when looking at the front of the 7-way, will not charge the battery in your camper. It can maintain the charge of the battery when connected.
It is always a good practice to disconnect the trailer from the vehicle to prevent the battery on your truck from discharging. If you have the camper connected to the truck while you are driving or while the truck engine is running, it will not drain the truck battery.
To charge the camper battery I recommend the NOCO Genius Mini Battery Charger # 329-GENIUS5 when land power is available.
