The Roadmaster Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts # RM-035 will install on the ends of your Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 arms in place of the existing black quick-disconnects.
I've attached a photo of the Falcon 2 tow bar showing the bolt that will need to be removed to uninstall the existing quick-disconnects. You will then want to remove the bolt from the # RM-035 adapter to slide the 2 pieces onto the tow bar arm. Once the adapter ends are in place, you will install the... view full answer...
The method of connection will depend on which manufacturers tow bar you are using. Some vehicles use a base plate kit that features removable draw bars, which might be what you have (see photo). The type of base plate for the 1998 CRV uses standard base plates, which are not removable. There is also a base plate kit, # 1528-3 that would allow the draw bars to be removed. For a Roadmaster tow bar, you would use a set of quick disconnects, part # RM-201. One half of the disconnect would... view full answer...
I am not sure what model Roadmaster tow bar you had attached to your motorhome, but those with a folding design like what you described will use a built-in storage latch to secure it in the folding position. When in this position, there should be no issues with it coming unattached while driving. It's possible that the latching mechanism on your particular unit was damaged or faulty, as this is not a common issue.

It's pretty awesome you have one of the rare Jeep LJ's and I know there are many envious Jeep enthusiasts out there. Hopefully knowing that will lessen the sting of the fact that the Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars # RM-035 will not work with your Ready Brute Elite because they have a 1" opening where the tow bar mounts.
These adapters are only going to be compatible with the following tow bars from Roadmaster:

The Aries Bull Bar with Removable Skid Plate # AA35-5006 you referenced does indeed require removal of the factory tow hooks (or single piece tow hook bar) on your 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. It uses the existing tow hook mounting points and factory hardware to attach the bull bar brackets. The same is true for all bull bar options for your truck.
That being said, Aries has a perfect solution for you with the Tow Hooks for Aries 3" and 4" Bull Bars # AA35-5TOW. These heavy duty tow hooks simply... view full answer...
One of the biggest things to keep the tow bar in the best shape is to keep the tow bar covered when not in use, on or off of the towing vehicle. This will cut down on the dirt build up on the legs and joints of the tow bar. A # BX8875 tow bar cover is recommended.
I checked the directions and found that it also helps if you periodically clean the entire surface of the tow bar with a mild soap and water solution. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
You can apply a light coat of multipurpose grease... view full answer...
Yes. The Blue Ox Acclaim Tow Bar - A-Frame - Car Mount - 5,000 lbs # BX4330 does remove from the Blue Ox base plates # BX1303 when you're not towing; most of the time the tow bar will be stored on the coach- either locked to the receiver on the RV or removed and locked up in storage. All you'll need to do when you reach your destination is pull the pins that are used to connect to the base plates and you're free to drive your 2006 Mini Cooper wherever you need.

With a tow bar such as # 63180 you will have to have the toad lined up straight behind the RV to even attach it to the brackets on the toad. So the process of actually connecting the vehicle to the RV ensures that it is lined up straight.
On tow bars that have arms that move in and out you can line up less than perfectly and the arms will retract out once you start moving and the vehicle will be straight. It all depends on the tow bar you are using but they all have built in ways of making... view full answer...
The handles, or Freedom Latch, of the Roadmaster Sterling All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-576 lock down as you are driving away after connecting the tow bar. As you can see by the accompanying cut out of the instructions the Sterling's arms will extend, self-center and lock when you do this.
To unlock them when you want to disconnect, just lift the latches and this will unlock the tow bar's arms.

Safety chains don't normally attach to tow bars. They normally attach to the safety chain loops of the tow vehicle and then to the base plate kit or frame of the vehicle that is being flat towed. That way if the tow bar some how gets disconnected the chains are still attached to the vehicle and RV.
A lot of people really like the coiled safety chains like part # RM-643 which you would coil around the arms of the tow bar to keep them off the ground. view full answer...
The arms of the Demco Commander tow bar DM9511010 connect to the towed car with the upper bar to the passenger side. This keeps the arms' release triggers protected on the inside of the arms.
The Commander's arms can be stowed to the left or to the right and as for keeping the tow bar tucked away and protected when not in use I recommend their vinyl Storage Cover # DM9523042. view full answer...

Then, carefully stretch the boot over the bar where the lug was attached and slide the boot down where it sits up against the release latch assembly, and secure... view full answer...

Yes, you are correct. Item # RM-524447-4 does require an external crossbar on your 2017 Lincoln MKX, which comes with certain compatible tow bars like Item # RM-522. The crossbar in some ways can be easier to use because you pull a clip from each side and the crossbar stays connected to the tow bar. When disconnecting from the vehicle, you just lift the crossbar off the brackets and fold the tow bar and crossbar up and store it as one unit on the back of the motor home. Complete maintenance and cleaning instructions are included with the tow bar, but as a general guideline, keeping the tow bar clean and regularly inspecting the components is vital.
Check all the retaining pins regularly, and replace as soon as you see any wear on them. If you are in doubt, replace them. Check all bolts for tightness, as loose bolts can cause excessive movement and wear. Check the arm latches for proper operation and adjust as needed according to the instructions.
