  • The cooler you can keep transmission fluid the better basically. 130-160 degrees is actually really awesome as this means your transmission is going to last a very long time. Honestly 180 isn't bad either but 130-160 is better if anything. I am slightly confused by the second portion of your question though as you said the gauge is not working but previously had stated that the gauge was reading temperatures.

  • I do have an option for you, but we do not carry a class 3 hitch for a 2002 Buick Century. The only hitch available is a class 2 hitch like the # C12239 which has a 1-1/4" square receiver and a 3,500 lb towing capacity. You can absolutely still use this hitch for a small trailer. You will simply need a ball mount to go with the 1-1/4" hitch. For that I recommend the Curt starter kit # C45147 which comes with a draw bar, pin and clip and a 2" trailer ball.
