Hey Morgan, so you are right we don't carry the Trailer Butler dolly but we do have a really great alternative with the Trailer Valet # TVRVR3 which is a similar electric dolly design and ALSO has a fancy name... I like this over the Trailer Butler because instead of requiring you to manually steer it the remote control also can turn as needed. Hey John, it is definitely possible to add brakes to a trailer with torsion axles but it comes down to whether or not the spindles of the trailer axles have brake mounting flanges currently as the biggest hurdle. They can be added but it's a little more involved. Next you'd need to know the axle capacity and the wheel bolt pattern and from there you'd have all info needed to add brakes.

You'd want to pull the hub off and either get the bearing numbers off the bearings or you could measure the spindle where the bearings ride. Hello David. The Draw-Tite # DT83MR is rated for towing up to 2,000 lbs. I am not sure exactly what cart and trailer you have, but as long as the weight of the trailer and cart combined is less than 2,000 lbs you will be just fine. Most golf carts are like 700 or 800 lbs and most 5x8 trailers would be about that weight as well. So, unless you have some excessively heavy cart or trailer you can definitely tow it 20 miles (or more) with the Draw-Tite # DT83MR hitch.

According to the owners manual for your 2020 Chevy Equinox it appears you are going to be limited to a trailer weighing up to 1,000lbs when you do not have trailer brakes. I have included a snip image from your manual that shows most can only tow up to 1,500lbs with trailer brakes. The 3,500 lb axles on your trailer are just fine as long as your fully loaded trailer isn't exceeding 7,000 lbs. Your '72 Nova should only weigh in at about 3,000 lbs which leaves plenty of room for the weight of your trailer along with any supplies or other cargo you need to transport.
