  • Installation of Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller on 2021 Hyundai Palisade
  • The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller, # RED24FR installed using the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers, # RED69FR will draw its power from from the black wire on your 7-way RV plug and directly to the negative terminal of your vehicles start battery. We have an excellent installation video created that I have linked below. The blue wire is the brake output signal that goes back to the 7 way - black will be the power source that needs to go to...

  • Do I Need Two Power Wires When Installing the Universal Installation Kit Trailer Brake Controller
  • Yes, you will need to run two power wires to the battery when installing the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7. The first power wire that goes to the 4-way is for the converter and that's what actually powers the trailer lights. The second power wire that goes to the 7-way is for powering a battery on the trailer if equipped. If you don't have a battery on the trailer then the second power wire is not needed but the first is.

  • Is Bumper Fascia Trimming Required to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2022 Hyundai Palisade?
  • Trimming of the bumper itself is not required, but trimming of the lower fascia (underneath the vehicle) is for the installation on a 2022 Hyundai Palisade of the etrailer Hitch # e95ZR. That hitch requires trimming of a 5-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" deep section for the hitch to fit. There is not technically any trimming required to install the other two hitches that fit your '22 Palisade, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13427. That said, it is still likely you will have to make a small cut...

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2024 Hyundai Palisade
  • We already have them! The hitches from the 2023 model year carried over to the 2024 Hyundai Palisades. I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e95ZR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Hyundai with included hardware. The etrailer item # e95ZR is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight. I really like this hitch because the crosstube is hidden behind the rear bumper. This leaves only the 2" receiver visible. I...

  • Does The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2024 Hyundai Palisade Require Trimming Of Rear Fascia?
  • The only trimming required when installing the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e95ZR is on the under body side panel. You will not have to trim the rear fascia but simply trim for the mounting bolts on one of the under body panels. This panel is not present on all models so I have included an installation video linked at the bottom of the page for you to see the installation process. I do recommend installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C43FV when you install the receiver....

  • Can 2020 Hyundai Palisade T-One Wiring be Used to Power Trailer Interior Lights
  • Hello, I'm happy to hear that we've been able to help out with information! You are correct that the wiring on the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # CU94FR for your 2020 Hyundai Palisade is smaller gauge wire (it's technically 16 but that's just 1 size away from 14 so good job!) so to add a power wire for your trailer interior lights I highly recommend installing our Wiring Upgrade Kit # ETBC7 so you have power going straight from your battery (through a breaker) back to power...

  • How to Run Brake Controller Wiring Into Passenger Cabin of 2020 Hyundai Palisade
  • According to our install crew, the wiring was ran into the passenger cab using an existing grommet in the firewall. If you open the hood, on the driver's side of the firewall you'll see a rubber grommet where the main harness enters the passenger cabin from the engine compartment. Use a utility or an exacto knife to make a small slit in the grommet, and you'll be able to pass the wire through. Before slitting the grommet, be sure to look at the area around the grommet on the other side...

  • Does Installing The Curt C13427 On My 2022 Hyundai Palisade Require Any Drilling Or Trimming?
  • Installing the Curt # C13427 on your new 2022 Hyundai Palisade will not require any drilling to get fully installed. With that said, there is a very minor, and I do mean very minor, trimming that may be needed to get a panel reinstalled after the hitch is in place. This doesn't actually have to be done all the time, but I did include an install video we did showing what you will need to do if trimming does need to be done on your Palisade.

  • Where is the Trailer Connector Stored on T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for 2023 Hyundai Palisade
  • In regards to the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C43FV which is a fit for a 2023 Hyundai Palisade, the trailer connector will be stored outside the vehicle. It can be secured to the trailer's safety chain loops via the dust cap or you can opt for a more permanent solution using a combo of the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat part # 18144 and No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket part # 18140.

  • How To Install T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness On 2023 Hyundai Palisade
  • It doesn't look like we have a video of the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part TK22VR installed on a 2023 Hyundai Palisade. We do have a video showing installation of the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C43FV on a 2023 Palisade. This will be virtually identical to the Tekonsha harness. This is just Curts version of the same custom fit harness. I have linked the video below. In regards to the power wire, this is a must for this vehicle and the...

  • Is any Trimming Required To Install The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver On a 2023 Hyundai Palisade?
  • To install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e95ZR on your 2023 Hyundai Palisade you will have to do some trimming. This is going to be needed on the underbody panel which attaches to your frame so it will not be seen. I have linked an installation video from an install we did in our shop where you can see where trimming is required. You can see the trimming at the 8:20 mark of the video.

  • Connecting The Reverse Wire Circuit Of a Stealth Hitch Towing Kit 7-Way On a 2021 Hyundai Palisade
  • To connect the reverse wire of the Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # 391HYUNPALIS19T harness, the purple wire that is labeled for the reverse light circuit will need to be connected to a wire on the vehicle side connector that you plug the harness into. It looks like the wire should be yellow with a black tracer but you will want to verify that you have the correct wire with a Test Light # PTW2993 as it can change on vehicles. Once you have verified that you...

  • Does Etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver e95ZR For 2022 Hyundai Palisade Require Bumper Modification?
  • The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e95ZR does not require any trimming or modification to your bumper molding or fascia. You will, however, need to remove the passenger side plastic molding temporarily but it can be re-installed right after the receiver is installed. Nothing will look out of the ordinary as you can see in the attached photos. We do not have an installation video for this exact receiver, but I did attach an installation...

  • Can Trailer Brakes Function Without a Brake Controller on 2022 Hyundai Palisade
  • That is correct. A 7-way adapter like the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57672 has a blue wire which connects to a typical brake controller in your vehicle. The brakes on your trailer cannot be used without a brake controller. You need the brake controller to send the signal for braking in order for your brakes to function. You can, however, use the Curt Echo # C51180 without running the blue wire off of the back of the adapter. The Echo plugs in-line with the 7-way at the back of...

  • Does Install of Curt Hitch C13420 Have Order that Bolts Need to be Torqued
  • Curt does not have the same bolt order torque instructions as the Hyundai OEM hitch for you vehicle has. Maybe it would be a good idea to use that order but Curt basically found that it didn't make a difference. There is a chance that the Curt Hitch part # C13420 might have some play between it and the frame of your vehicle before the bolts are torqued. This can happen due to slightly variances in manufacturing but most of the time it's due to the hitch getting slightly bent in shipping.

  • Do Blue and Yellow Wires Get Hooked Up on 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter ETBC7L for Hyundai Palisade
  • Correct, the blue and yellow wires don't need to be hooked up when installing the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way part # ETBC7L on a 2023 Hyundai Palisade if installing a wireless trailer brake controller like the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller part # C51180. The blue wire is for brake output but won't be used since you have a wireless trailer brake controller and the yellow wire is for reverse lights which most trailers don't have so it's also left unused.

  • How To Install Redarc Tow-Pro Elite RED44FR In 2021 Hyundai Palisade
  • I would be happy to help! While you are correct that your 2021 Hyundai Palisade comes prewired for a 7-way connector, there is not a trailer brake controller harness compatible with the trailer brake controller port underneath the dash of your vehicle. What I recommend is getting the 7-way connector from your local Hyundai Dealer as they are currently the only people that have one available that will plug into your vehicle without splicing or running wires. Then to install the Redarc...
