Do Blue and Yellow Wires Get Hooked Up on 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter ETBC7L for Hyundai Palisade
Question:
Conner L. helped me out with a 4 flat to a 7 pin question for my 2023 Palisade. Here is his response to my question. In regards to the wiring for your 2023 Hyundai Palisade, youll need to go with a hardwire harness like the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C59236. Then, youll need an adapter, the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Wat part # ETBC7L which is designed specifically for the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller part # C51180. I am wondering since I am using a wireless brake controller do I need to even hook the blue wire up?? Also, does the yellow wire need to be hooked up and if so where does it get hooked up to. I understand the black wire needs to go the battery for power. I am using the Tekonsha plug/play 4 flat kit. Thanks for being there for us folks who need to play the games with Hyundai and their debacle of their towing set-up.

Correct, the blue and yellow wires don't need to be hooked up when installing the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way part # ETBC7L on a 2023 Hyundai Palisade if installing a wireless trailer brake controller like the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller part # C51180. The blue wire is for brake output but won't be used since you have a wireless trailer brake controller and the yellow wire is for reverse lights which most trailers don't have so it's also left unused.
