  • Recommended Parts to Tow a Small Trailer with a 2009 Buick LaCrosse
  • We have everything that you need to get towing with your 2009 Buick LaCrosse. For a trailer hitch I recommend the 1-1/4" Class II Curt # C12239 because we have found the Curt trailer hitches typically have better welds and a thicker powder coat than other options. This contributes to a longer lifespan of the trailer hitch which in turn raises the quality of the hitch. Since you're needing to tow a smaller trailer you'll also need wiring to activate the trailer lights and for that I recommend...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2004 Buick Regal
  • I think you meant to type 2004 Buick Regal since there was no 2006 Regal. For a hitch to fit a 2004 Regal you would want the Curt part # C12225 which has been confirmed as a fit. For a ball mount you would need part # 36065, for a 1-7/8 inch ball part # 19256, and for a 2 inch ball part # 19258. For trailer wiring part # 18252. Cost is available at the product links.

  • Thank you for your business! The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36652 you purchased for your 2017 Buick LaCrosse includes all of the hardware needed to get it installed and be used with your bike rack. In addition the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11232 you purchased for your 2015 Volkswagen Passat also includes all of the required hardware to get it installed. However with this hitch you will need to use Curt Stabilizing Strap # 18050 with any non-trailered loads to keep from voiding...

  • Will Installing a Transmission Cooler On A 2006 Buick LaCrosse Increase Towing Capacity
  • The addition of a transmission cooler will absolutely help while towing with your 2006 Buick LaCrosse to both increase performance and prolong the life of your vehicle's transmission. That said, it will not increase your towing capacity in the eyes of the manufacturer. However, the factory warranty on your LaCrosse has most likely already expired so I recommend you just use your best judgement when it comes to your towing capacity after adding supplements such as a transmission cooler....

  • Comparing Curt and Draw Tite Trailer Hitches for 2018 Buick Lacrosse
  • The Draw Tite hitch part # 36652 is the hitch I recommend for your 2018 Buick LaCrosse because unlike the Curt # C12166 it does not require a stabilizer strap when carrying a bike rack. This hitch has a concealed crosstube too which means that it will be mainly out of sight as only the hitch opening will be visible. See the picture I attached. I also attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well. The video shows a Chevy Malibu but the LaCrosse and the Malibu share...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2006 Buick LaCrosse
  • The Curt wiring harness part # C56340 is the correct wiring harness for your 2006 Buick LaCrosse. However, it does not have any circuit protection built into it. This is a custom harness designed to install easily on your vehicle, but it does not have circuit protection. Curt tested your vehicle and determined that circuit protections wasn't necessary. If you wanted a harness with circuit protection you would want the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 119178KIT. This is a hardwire...

  • Towing Mirror Recommendation for 2015 Buick LaCrosse
  • We do have universal style tow mirrors that fit your 2015 Buick LaCrosse. I checked out pictures of your vehicle and our universal style mirrors like the part # 11953 would fit and work really well. I attached a picture that we got from a customer that shows this mirror installed on a smaller vehicle mirror like yours. I really like this mirror specifically since it has dual mirror pieces so you can really tailor the viewing angle behind you plus it's very stable. Check out the install...

  • Trunk Mounted Bike Rack for 2013 Buick LaCrosse
  • According to Thule, their OutWay Platform Bike Rack, part # TH65JV is not a fit for your LaCrosse. Once the bikes are loaded on the rack, it would be heavy enough to damage the vehicle. However, Thule offers a 2 bike hanging version of the OutWay, part # TH45JV that is a fit for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse. This is the easiest rack to install and comes with locks for both the rack and the bikes. Any time a piece of equipment is in direct contact with the painted surface of a vehicle, the...

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2011 Buick Lacrosse CXL and CXS
  • Actually both the Draw Tite Hitch # 36538 and the Hidden Hitch part # 90242 (no longer available) that you referenced are made by the same company so they are basically identical. Either would work great for you. The Harmar AL160 is a scooter carrier, if the one you are looking at is confirmed to fit a 1-1/4 inch hitch it should work with either hitch previously mentioned. The weight of the carrier plus your scooter could not exceed 300 lbs otherwise it would be too heavy for either hitch.

  • Difference Between Draw Tite Hitches for 2014 Buick LaCrosse
  • It is interesting that Draw Tite has two hitch fits for your 2014 Buick LaCrosse but the part # 36546 is the easier to install hitch, costs less, and has the same capacity as the part # 36538 so it would be the hitch I would go with if I were you.

  • Will Kats Engine Block Heater Work With 3.6 Liter Engine On 2013 Buick LaCrosse
  • I called my contact at Kat's and asked about the Kat's Heaters Custom Fit Engine Block Heater, part # KH11811. • How to Power a Tow Bar Braking System on a Vehicle that Has to Have Fuses Pulled
  • What you need is a # RM-9332. This will allow you to power the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR from your vehicle battery while the fuse is pulled. What you can do is also run a 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot), from the 12 volt accessory circuit of the 7-way on your tow vehicle to the positive post of the battery on the Lacrosse to keep a maintenance charge on it.

  • Trailer Hitch for Scooter and Lift for a 2011 Buick LaCrosse
  • If the rear of your 2011 Buick LaCrosse is 6-1/2 inches from the ground on the driveway incline then anything that extends out further then that would be even closer to the ground. Basically you can probably expect to scrape the ground with a carrier installed in the trailer hitch. The way around this would be if the carrier you use had a rise in the shank effectively increasing its ground clearance. Carrier # PS10401-10402 for example has a slight rise in the shank (4 inches) and would...

  • Backup Camera Recommendation for a 2010 Buick Lacrosse
  • Yes, you can install a backup camera on your 2010 Buick Lacrosse. The backup camera system that I recommend is the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera, # HM50002. This is an excellent camera system that will not have any interference issues like the wireless systems. It has a color display with distance indicators. I have attached an installation video to give you an idea of how this camera system installs.

Be sure to consult your owners manual or dealer for exact specifications. A 1/2" Bolt Leader # 80101-1 will make installation of your receiver much easier if you plan to do the installation yourself. The bumper to hitch pin center measurement is approximately 6" on this receiver. The Thule Apex XT 2 Bike...

This attaches to the frame of your vehicle and provides an attachment point for a tow bar to flat tow the vehicle. In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. • The most popular Blue Ox tow bar among owners of the Buick Lacrosse is their Alpha, part # BX7380. This will work great with their base plate kit # BX1515.
