Trailer Hitch Receiver and Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2006 Buick Allure(LaCrosse)
Question:
Hi, Id like to get a hitch bike carrier for 2 bikes for my Buick Allure 2006. We live in a condo building and have to go 2 levels down the garage. Its quite a steep incline and Im worried that I may hit the ground. Your feedback how to go about this is much appreciated. Thanks

I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36374 for your 2006 Buick Allure(LaCrosse). This class 2 receiver is rated for 300lbs of tongue weight and trailer towing of 3,500lbs. Be sure to consult your owners manual or dealer for exact specifications. A 1/2" Bolt Leader # 80101-1 will make installation of your receiver much easier if you plan to do the installation yourself. The bumper to hitch pin center measurement is approximately 6" on this receiver.
The Thule Apex XT 2 Bike Rack # TH9024XT is the bike rack that I recommend. The hitch pin center to closest part of the carrier is 7". It is a hanging rack that will hold the bikes from the frame which keeps them higher off the ground than a platform rack that the bikes will sit on. It features a built in anti-rattle hitch and lock system to secure the bike rack to your Buick. A matching lock system is also built in for securing the bikes to the hitch.
