It is not a good idea to wire in anything related to trailer towing to the rear fuse panel or any other 12 volt power source other than the vehicle battery. The reason for this is that the vehicle side of things is not rated for the additional load and it could damage that system. Ideally you want as much isolation between the vehicle wiring and the trailer wiring to avoid potential problems which is why it is recommended to go straight to the vehicle battery.
