Can Trailer Wiring Power Wires be Attached to Rear Fuse Panel on 2010 Mercedes GLK350
Question:
On this breaker 9510, could I also tap into the rear fuse panel wiring terminal 30g that powers the entire rear system in a 2010 GLK350, instead of running wire up to the battery terminal? Im showing 12v/30a with engine off to the 30g terminal. The terminal wire is either an 8 or 10 gauge wire. Thanks in advance.

It is not a good idea to wire in anything related to trailer towing to the rear fuse panel or any other 12 volt power source other than the vehicle battery. The reason for this is that the vehicle side of things is not rated for the additional load and it could damage that system. Ideally you want as much isolation between the vehicle wiring and the trailer wiring to avoid potential problems which is why it is recommended to go straight to the vehicle battery.
I have included a link to a help article with tips on routing power wires for you.
