That is correct. On a Class I hitch it isn't the weight that is the issue. It is how far that weight is from the hitch receiver. A third and subsequent bikes will be too far from the receiver which will put a lot of extra stress on the hitch and where it attaches to the vehicle. If you have ever used a long wrench or breaker bar to loosen a lug nut it is the same concept: if the lever is long enough it takes very little force to loosen that nut. Curt trailer hitch # C11002 for the 2013 Honda Crosstour is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver so bike rack # C18064 will not fit. For a compatible bike rack you have to make sure the rack is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
