You have two options to consider for your trailer, the Timbren axle-less suspension and the Dexter straight axles. As you have a gross trailer weight (GTW) of 3,000 lbs. If your 2015 GMC Canyon has the factory-installed tow package the truck will have an actual 7-way trailer socket at the rear bumper rather than the punch-out plate.
