First I have linked an installation video for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13315 below. This shows an installation on a 2023 Mazda CX-5 and the threaded holes are located very close to a open hole but the threaded hole is covered with a thin tape making it difficult to see. The first thing you will want to do is have the error codes showing up on the vehicle cleared by a mechanic. When a vehicle throws codes like that they stay in the computer memory so disconnecting the controller won't stop the error messages from appearing.

Bummer to hear about you bending your jack, I have a solution for you, but I can't recommend you cut off any of your current jacks tubing.
I would instead suggest you get a swivel jack like the ProSeries # PSEJ10000101 and remove your current A-frame jack. This ProSeries jack will bolt onto your trailers frame and allow you to swivel it out of the way for better ground clearance when not in use.

The turn signals should definitely work while your running lights are on. Based on what you are describing you need to check the ground wire connection on your # C56377. Make sure it is secure on a clean, bare-metal surface. The other possibility is the connections from the T-connector aren't secure.
