According to the installation instructions for CURT Trailer Hitch, # 11824, which I have linked for you to view, you will need to drill a total of 4 holes to install the trailer hitch. Two holes will go through a cross member under the car and the other two in the bumper beam. (There is actually a 5th hole that will be drilled but it is for routing bolts for installation.)
The gross trailer weight capacity of this trailer hitch is 2,500 pounds, which is more than enough to handle the 1,800... view full answer...
We do not carry the 59187 converter you mentioned, so I am not familiar with it. That being said though, when dealing with wiring like that, you often times cannot match color to color. You need to match function to function. This means you will need a circuit tester # PTW2993 to test for function.
Locate the wiring and then have someone run through the turn signals, brake lights and running lights while the circuit tester is being used on the wires to find find the wire receiving the... view full answer...
There actually isn't any fascia trimming required to install Curt trailer hitch # C11030 on the 2009 Mercedes C-Class. I have linked a video showing an example installation as well as the instructions showing the steps to install the hitch.
For future reference though using a rotary tool is the easiest way to trim fascia and it also provides the cleanest cut. Other methods include using snips of some kind (depends on the material being cut) as well as a sharp box cutter.

The # AKEBRK-35L-SA and # AKEBRK-35R-SA brake assemblies will work on an axle with a 4 bolt mounting flange that has bolt holes 2-7/8 inches on center apart.
The Trailer Hub & Drum Assembly, # AKHD-545-35-K, is designed to work on trailers with spindles that accept the # L68149 inner and # L44649 outer bearing, and the # 58846 single lip seal, and with wheels that have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. You should check these items to be sure you are selecting the correct parts. If your parts... view full answer...
According to my research your 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300 has a combined stop and tail signal with an independent turn signal with pulse modulation. This means the signals are sent as pulses that need to be deciphered.
When looking at the installation manual for the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter Harness # C59236 you will want to follow the directions for the "PWM-ST" vehicle wiring type. The green wire from the harness will go to the right turn wire (black/green on the vehicle), the red... view full answer...
You are correct, once you cut the white wire to ground the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 you will use that part of the white wire you cut off. You will wrap one end of the new white wire around the yellow and brown wire and route that bundle to the driver side taillight. Once you get bundle to the taillight you will you will twist the brown and white together and that gets connected to a diode.
The other end of the new white wire will be routed with... view full answer...
It sounds like you are needing to route the wires from the Hopkins Backup Sensor System # HM60100VA to the trunk of your 2001 Mercedes-Benz C300 in order to tap into the reverse light circuit.
There are a couple possible options for doing this. You might be able to access the trunk by simply routing the wire up and going through where the license plate lights are. If you cannot do this, you can also go down and have the wire go through the gap between the trunk lid and rear bumper. The... view full answer...
Yes, to install the Curt Hitch part # C11824 that you referenced you will need to do some drilling. Temporary bumper removal will be required as well. You will need to use a 7/16 inch drill bit for all of the hole drilling.

The adapter bars like the Swagman Deluxe # 64005 and Thule # TH982XT were initially created for hanging-style bike racks, but we have found that they work really well for the hooks on a bike rack, like the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Rack # HLY84FR, to connect to.
Instead of the adapter bar putting pressure on the underside of the seat and handlebars it will put pressure on the lowered ends of the bike like you can see in the attached photo. view full answer...
I do not have the exact measurement but I do have two images of the Curt trailer hitch # C11030 installed on the 2011 Mercedes-Benz C300 sedan / 4-door for you to check out. As you can see, the hitch is very unobtrusive.
With the Curt Stabilizer Strap, # 18050, you'll take the clip end and hook it on the lid of the trunk. I have also included a video of the Support Strap which shows this installation procedure. view full answer...
The easiest way to do this is to replace the original magnet with the new magnet. If you don't have a magnet already, start with the motorhome side first, see where the door lands and apply your new magnet to the door with the provided adhesive tape.
I have included a picture to help guide you. I will also link an install video. view full answer...
It sounds like your 2008 Mercedes-Benz C350 uses Pulse Width Modulation, so you will need to use a converter compatible to capture the signal and convert it for use on your LED third brake light. For this I recommend using the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236 and then you can use the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 after that converter to isolate the stop lamp from the turn signal. view full answer...
The etrailer 2-in-1 Exterior Windshield and Wiper Blade Cover part # e98899 does not come with magnets, it is held in place both by the sewn in loops which wrap around the side mirrors as well as the fabric flaps which will get shut in the door jamb. It is actually pretty secure once you get both of these attachments secured. I don't think magnets would work well for a windshield cover. view full answer...

When installing a powered converter like the # C59236 on a vehicle, people will usually run the power wire along the underside of the vehicle, by following an existing wiring harness as it runs under the vehicle up into the engine compartment. As the wire goes from the rear to the front of the vehicle, be sure to avoid anything that's moving like suspension or steering components or hot like exhaust components. I don't have specifics to offer you, but we have a helpful FAQ article that... view full answer...
