The monitor itself, measures 3-1/2 inches long, 2-1/8 inches wide and about 1 inch thick. The mount is only about 1 inch from the back of the monitor to the base. It is an adhesive mount that could be mounted virtually anywhere; windshield, top of dash, and front of dash. Since it is not too long, it should not interfere with driving.
I have included a video of this kit being installed on a 2009 Honda Accord. view full answer...
Yes, we do! To add a hitch to your 2023 VW Tiguan, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e43ZR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Tiguan with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver.
I really like the etrailer item # e43ZR hitch because the main crosstube mounts behind the bumper cover. This leaves only the 2" receiver visible, which not only looks better it helps with ground clearance.
I have linked an installation video below and attached a couple... view full answer...
Yes, there is one option to upgrade your 2023 Tiguan's suspension. It is the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F4176. These fit inside your VW's rear coil springs and provide an additional 1,000 lbs of load leveling support. The air bags can be adjusted manually with the included lines and valves.

The Thule Camber 4 Bike Rack # TH9056 is going to have longer arms than the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR. The reason why the Thule Cambers arms are a bit longer is because the spacing between the cradles is larger. The benefit of having more space between the cradles is that you will have more room between each bike. This will lessen the chance for bike to bike contact when traveling down the road. view full answer...
I do have an option that will allow you to have at least a 38-1/2" crossbar spread. Your roof rack will consist of the following items:
Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 53" Long - Qty 2, part # TH711400
Evo Raised Rail Feet for Thule Crossbars - Factory Raised Rails - Qty 4, part # TH710401
Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 4, part # TH450400
According to Thule this roof rack has a maximum crossbar spread of 48". This roof rack has a weight limit of 165 lbs. I... view full answer...
The Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH49ZR will be rated up to 350 pounds, but from what I could find, it will be rated up to 220 pounds when installed on a 2019 VW Tiguan as this is the vehicle's max tongue weight capacity. With that being said, as long as the combined weight of the scooter and its carrier is less than the 220 pounds, you will be good to go. If it ends up being heavier than 220 pounds, you will need to go another way.
You can add the Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and... view full answer...
I may have a solution for you, however there is not an adapter that will work for you without reducing the weight capacity. As you said any adapter will reduce the weight capacity by 50 percent making it not enough.
My best recommendation would be to check the tongue weight capacity of your 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan in the owner's manual if you haven't already. You need to make sure it can handle what is necessary because that will determine the maximum amount your vehicle will carry... view full answer...
I looked up the towing capacity of your 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan and it can tow a trailer up to 1,500 lbs so with the Curt hitch part # C12177 installed (which is rated for more than that) you'd easily be able to tow a small trailer.
For trailer wiring you'd then want the part # 118811 which is custom fit and very reliable. view full answer...
On the Malone Runway Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # MPG2149, there are actually two pin holes available on the shank to use for the pin. I confirmed with my contact at Malone that the the first pinhole is 8-8/3 inches away from the first bike wheel loop and the second pinhole is 10-1/4 inches way from the first bike wheel loop. Since the measurement from the pinhole of the hitch 76192 to the end of the bumper is 5 inches, you will have no clearance issues. view full answer...
There is indeed a roof rack that fits both your 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan and 2014 Volkswagen Touareg with raised side rails. The rack is from Thule and uses the exact same parts so you will be able to transfer it between either vehicles whenever you like; the correct part numbers for both your VWs are the following:
- Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Silver # TH711400 or Black # TH711420
- Evo Raised Rail Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710401
The rack is also going to be easy to transfer between... view full answer...
The Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # DT62GR is installed into the frame by removing the back bumper cover on the 2022 Tiguan. The etrailer Hitch item # e43ZR attaches to the sides of the frame from below if you're looking for an easier install. Both hitches are confirmed to fit the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56403 and a ball mount kit item # C45534. view full answer...
We currently only have 2 hitches available for your Tiquan. The Draw Tite is no long available. Of the two remaining Class III hitches available for your 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan, the Curt hitch # C13133 and the etrailer # e98906, they are both practically identical in design. They both sit 15-1/2" from the top of the receiver opening to the ground. view full answer...
I believe you will find that your trailer setup will be within the 220 lb tongue weight limit of your 2011 VW Tiguan. You should check the actual tongue weight to be sure, but I did some calculations and found that if your trailer is loaded properly the tongue weight should be somewhere around 190 pounds at most. Close, but within the limit the manufacturer set for your Tiguan.
Normal tongue weight for trailers is between 10 and 15 percent of total trailer weight for best towing performance.... view full answer...

I checked with Curt, for your 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL R-Line you are going to want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C13381. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Tiguan with included hardware.
VW added some extra trim pieces for the R-Line model. Those will need to be trimmed down significantly for the hitch to be installed. Removing or modifying these trim pieces will not affect the function of your hitch and shouldn't affect the appearance of your VW as the pieces are... view full answer...
I recommend installing the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7393 on your 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan to use with your Yakima Dr Tray bike carrier. This receiver has a length of 3.25 from the hitch pin center hole to the back of the receiver. The Receiver # 306-X7395 only has 2" behind the pin hole center and will not allow you to properly use your anti-rattle that is built into the Dr tray.
I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118811 when you install the receiver.... view full answer...
When we installed Curt trailer hitch # C12177 on a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan, see video link, it measured 11-1/2 inches from the ground to the top of the receiver opening. That means that from the ground to the bottom of the receiver is approximately 9 inches. There is actually a vehicle component forward of the hitch that hangs lower. For the hitch to make contact with the ground the front axle would have to be up on a very steep incline. view full answer...
The distance between the hitch pin hole of the Saris # SA4025F SuperClamp EX and the closest portion of the rack when folded up vertically toward the back of the vehicle is 7-1/4 as confirmed with Saris.
