An over/under kit like the Dexter # K71-384-00 is designed for a 3500 lb axle with a 2-3/8 inch axle tube. By moving the leaf springs atop the axle tube, you'll gain the diameter of the axle trube plus the thickness of the spring pack as a height increase. Normally, the tongue weight of a trailer is somewhere between 10 and 15 percent. It sounds like your trailer is at the top of that range and possibly a bit more. To calculate the right tongue weight you will need to add in any other cargo like the fresh water, food, or any cargo carried behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. That can run the tongue weight up. You want the fully loaded tongue weight to fall near the middle of the weight distribution tongue weight range.

It's possible there will be an issue with being able to tow your 5th wheel trailer level when towing with your 2020 Ram 2500 that has a higher bed. I wouldn't be able to tell you a flat "yes or no" but you want to be as level as possible, with about 6 inches of space between the top of the truck bed rails and the bottom of the trailer loft for adequate clearance.

The only way to know for sure the capacity of your axle is based on the information from the manufacturer when the axle is new. Typically, 1-1/2 inch square axels have a capacity somewhere between 1,000 - 2,000 pounds. Sometimes the spindle and hub can also help point us in the direction of finding axle capacity, but even then it is still an approximation since it is impossible to tell if they are the same size as what came on the axle.
