Sliding 5TH Wheel Hitch Options For a 2018 Ram 2500 With Factory Prep/Puck Hitch System

Looking At stock #BWRVK3670 While driving, how is the clearance When making turns? as in a left or right turn from one street to another? Does the 5th wheel slide back while in turns?

The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3670 for your 2018 Ram 2500 6-1/2' Bed with the in bed hitch prep/puck package will allow you to still make all the turns while you are driving on city streets. While this hitch does not slide automatically it can be manually slid 12" to the rear for maneuvering tight areas. This is only needed when reversing as that is when you are able to perform jack knife turns with your 5th wheel. The B&W 5th Wheel Lifting Device # BWRVXA3130 will help with removing this hitch if you have a lifting device. And be sure to use a Lube Plate # RP83002 with the B&W hitch to protect it and quiet the ride.
The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550035 is an auto sliding hitch that will move up to 14" further from the cab as you turn. As this hitch does not fit the factory prep/puck bed mounts you will need a Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # DM6099 to mount it in your Ram. The Demco Lifting Bracket # DM6100 will help you lift this hitch from your bed as it too is very heavy.
