  • Finding Brake Controller Install Connector on 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn
  • Finding the brake controller connector on vehicles sometimes ends up difficult as the harness ends further back or just out of reach. I attached a picture where you'll find it on your 2019 Ram 1500 as well as an install video that shows this too. Keep reaching around in that area and you will find it. The harness needed to install the P3 # 90195 in your truck is the # 3024-P.

  • Factory Brake Controller Port Location on 2019 Ram 1500
  • To install the excellent Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 on your 2019 Ram 1500 you just need the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3024-P. The factory brake controller port should be located underneath the dash, above and in front of the accelerator pedal. I have attached an image of its location along with an installation video on the 2017 Ram (skip ahead to the 2:00 mark). The process should be the same for your 2019 model. This is a direct plug-and-play installation. One...

  • Is PSI Adjustable Rating of Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs Measured After Load is on Truck
  • A minimum of 5 psi must be in the air bags at all times, so the rating is measured before the load is on the truck for the Coil-Rite air bags that fit your 2019 Ram 1500, which are the following part: - Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4130 I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.

  • Determining Transmission Return Line To Add Transmission Cooler on 2020 Ram 1500
  • On your 2020 Ram 1500, the best way to determine which line is the return line on your transmission is to start the engine while the engine is cold and put the shift lever in drive for 10 seconds. Then return the shifter to park, stop the engine and remove keys. You will then be able to identify the return line by feeling both the supply and return lines because the sending line will be warm and the return line will still be cold.

  • Should 5:00 Position of 7-Way on 2018 Ram 1500 Be Active
  • The 5:00 position of a 7-way is for a brake controller output circuit to activate trailer brakes which you'd have to have a controller installed on your 2018 Ram 1500 for that circuit to have voltage on it. You'd need a controller like the # TK63VR with the install harness part # 3024-P and that circuit would be active to control your trailer brakes.

  • Should I Use the Tire Grips # 288-07411-2 on All 4 Tires on My AWD Audi A6?
  • Since the Tire Grip Vehicle Traction Recovery Tracks for Snow, Mud, and Sand # 288-07411-2 are designed to help with drive wheels, I recommend using the traction grips on all four of your all-wheel drive Audi A6. This will help give you the traction you need on all tires to get you out of the snow, mud, or sand. I went ahead and attached a demonstration video that shows how they work. Another way of preventing these mishaps is to use tire chains. For that route, if you are interested...

  • How Does Brake Controller Install on 2011 Ram 1500?
  • A brake controller will require use of the 7-way on your 2011 Ram 1500, but the brake controller itself will be installed very easily. The controller I recommend, the Prodigy P3 # 90195 only requires you to use Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3021-P; one end of this adapter will plug into the brake controller itself while the other will plug into the harness that is located underneath the dash of your Ram. I strongly recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195 due to its effectiveness and ease of use. It...

  • Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Installation on 2016 Ram 1500
  • For your 2016 Ram 1500, you can install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 using the Tekonsha Plug-In Adapter, # 3024-P. One end of this custom adapter will plug directly into the built-in port beneath the dash of your vehicle and the other end will plug into the Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller. Because the Prodigy P3 will not be communicating directly with your truck's computer, you will not need to have it programmed as you referenced in your question. Once installed...

  • How Come Air Lift # AL60828HD Requires Removal of Coil to Install
  • The HD air bags from Air Lift part # AL60828HD are thicker material than the non-HD bags which is why you can't slip them between the coils of the rear suspension. Instead you have to push the bag through the top of the coil spring.

  • Can Redarc BCDC Charger Be Used with 7-Way Connector to Charge Trailer Battery
  • The Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D that you referenced could physically be installed so that it uses 12V power from the 7-Way connector on your truck, but it's not going to allow for ideal operation. The problem is that typical trailer connectors use smaller 10 gauge wiring that just isn't capable of allowing enough power to pass through to really charge a battery up. Since this is exactly what you would want to use the BCDC charger for, using it with the 7-Way...

  • Will Voyager Brake Controller That Is Not Perfectly Horizontal Work On 2015 Ram 1500
  • I called my contact at Tekonsha and asked about the installation of your Voyager brake controller, part # 39510 on your 2015 Ram 1500. They told me that the 6-degrees of pitch you have when the brake controller is installed may not be any issue but the only way to truly know is by testing it. Make sure you are in a safe area and test the braking action. If it is erratic and the brakes do not work well, you may want to step up to a brake controller like the P2, part # 90885. It has an...

There are screen display examples listed here as well.

  • Tips On Finding Cold Side Wire Of Stop Light Switch In 2021 Ram 1500
  • I do not have a diagram that shows the correct wire to splice in to connect to the cold side of the stop light switch on your 2021 Ram 1500, but to find the correct wire you will need to look at the brake pedal, and find the switch. Once you find the switch you will need a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to find the correct wire. There may be a wire loom or tape of the wires that you will need to carefully remove to get access to the individual wire. With that said, your 2021 Ram 1500 has...

  • Is There a Way to Tell if the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty is Hooked Up Correctly without a Trailer
  • While there is not a way to test the "full" scope of working properly, you can definitely ensure that it is receiving the proper power and starting the calibration process. A trailer does need to be connected in order for the LEDs to be on when using the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR. If you press the manual override without a trailer connected, the led light should flash blue, but go out again, which means the controller does have power. Even without a trailer connected...

  • Installing the JackRabbit Hard Tonneau Cover w Explorer Rails and Utility Rack on a 2017 Ram 1500
  • The Explorer Rails that come with the Pace Edwards JackRabbit # JED77A01-UR3004 just replace the original rails and they have a T-Slot for the included Utility Rack to slide in (see attached photo). As far as the installation video goes, at this time (January 2019) we haven't had a 2017 Ram 1500 in to install the JackRabbit on but we have installed it on a 2016 Ford F-150 which I have linked that video to this page for you to check out. The cover in the video doesn't have the Explorer...

  • Location of Prodigy P3 Electronic Brake Controller Installed in 2017 Ram 1500
  • The location is completely up to you. The Prodigy P3 # 90195 can be installed anywhere as long as it is in the vertical plane. Some reasons for mounting it on the right may be because most people are right handed or possibly that installer just used his personal preference. On your 2017 Ram 1500 you'll want the plug in harness # 3024-P to go with the P3.

  • Can E-Tracks Be Cut Or Bent for Installation?
  • E-tracks, like the Erickson Horizontal E-Track # E19148 can be cut down to fit your application. We do not recommend bending the E-track, but rather cut or use smaller pieces and lay them in a way that makes up for the bend.

  • Brake Controller Plug In Location for a 2020 Ram 1500
  • When we have reached out to Tekonsha about this same situation for a 2019 Ram 1500 they said that the connector for the adapter # 3024-P is actually located behind the center console area and that you'll need to reach behind the dash (from the driver's side by the pedals) and around a metal brace to get to the connector for a brake controller like the P3 # 90195. If the connector isn't there let me know and I can help you look into this further.
