How Does Brake Controller Install on 2011 Ram 1500?
Question:
Everyone talks about the 2 connectors on my vehicle - do the aftermarket brake controllers just utilize one of the two connectors? I do have the 7 prong / 4 prong connector on the back. Thanks in advance

A brake controller will require use of the 7-way on your 2011 Ram 1500, but the brake controller itself will be installed very easily. The controller I recommend, the Prodigy P3 # 90195 only requires you to use Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3021-P; one end of this adapter will plug into the brake controller itself while the other will plug into the harness that is located underneath the dash of your Ram.
I strongly recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195 due to its effectiveness and ease of use. It will activate your trailer's brakes immediately in proportion to your Ram's brakes and offers three different boost levels so you can adjust your braking power.
The P3 levels automatically, has constant diagnostic checks, contains safeguards which defend your controller against shorts, and features an LCD display which is much easier to read than that of other controllers. This controller has been met with nearly universal praise; it has been reviewed by our customers more than 2,000 times and is averaging close to 5 out of 5 stars. I've added links to video reviews of the P3 and adapter for you to take a look at as well.
