If the guy who installed your brake controller did his homework he should have gotten power for the brake controller from the factory wiring that was designed for brake controller installs and not from the 12 volt accessory circuit that you replaced the fuse on. So I would check to see where the black wire of you brake controller wiring is ran to. With the trailer connected the display should show 0.0 when the brakes are applied, and it should show the current gain setting when the manual override is applied.

For a 7-way wiring harness for your 2024 Honda Pilot trailsport I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C35ZV which will plug in to the existing tow package connector at the rear your vehicle.
