Can 2018 Cadillac XT5 Rear Brake Light Be Used for Stop Light Circuit on Brake Controller
Question:
I have a 2018 cadillac xt5 and I cant find any plug or wire under the dash to wire the red wire for the brake control. Can I run a wire from the rear brake light to the trailer brake control .

Yes, you can use the rear brake light at the back of your 2018 Cadillac XT5 (or any light that flips on when the brake pedal is pressed for that matter) to get the stop light function for your brake controller.
An alternative option would also be using the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000 that installs under your dash if you'd rather use this style instead of routing a wire from the back of your vehicle up to the front.
