Parts Needed To Install a 7-Way and Trailer Brake Controller on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler With 4-Way
Question:
Hi - I have 2017 Jeep Sahara Unlimited. It comes with a tow package 4-way. Going to be pulling a brake-installed trailer that uses 7-way connector. What do I need to get for a complete installation, including a brake controller. Thanks

The Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 you found will allow you to install a 7-way along with a Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED44FR. The kit contains a 7-way which will plug into the 4-way you already have and includes wiring to run to and wire in the brake controller as well as a charge line to maintain the breakaway battery on the trailer. The Redarc # RED44FR is great for your 2017 Jeep Wrangler as it has a small control knob which you can mount to your dash and will not take up as much space as other dash mounted controllers. And if you plan on doing any overlanding you can switch from proportional braking to the user controlled mode that provides better braking when off road.
