Many of our ladder racks only show an on-road and off-road weight rating which is what you're seeing. Most of the time that is the rating people are looking for since they're using it to haul equipment around with them. The static rating is typically higher and for most of our ladder racks it is listed in the instructions.

To determine the height needed for a gooseneck to 5th wheel adapter you'll just need to measure. You'll want to be on level ground and use your trailer's leveling system to ensure that it's fully level and the measure from the ground up to the plate that the king pin is welded to. You'll also need to measure from the ground up to the bed of the truck. The difference in these two measurements is the height needed for the adapter.

Hey Bill, it sounds like you might have measured from the top of the bed rails to the ground and not the truck bed. 5 inches is pretty normal between the bed rail and king pin plate so what you should do is measure from the bed floor of your truck bed down to the ground and then take the difference of that and the king pin dimension you took That will be the correct height setting to use for the 5th wheel hitch. view full answer...

What is the bed length of your truck? If you have a long bed, clearance will not be an issue. Short bed trucks are where you can run into potential clearance issues. Some short bed trucks may require the use of a sliding fifth wheel hitch. If you have clearance with the current pin box, you should be good though.

Without knowing the exact weights for your trailer and assuming you have a 2" receiver we do have the Gen-Y Hitch Extender # GY89SR. The extender is going to add 14" of length to your ball mount and with the 13" you have for clearance on the trailer this should allow you to clear your tailgate. As long as you go with the Thule TracRac SR, which mounts to the stake pockets instead of the inner lip of the bedrails you'll be able to mount certain tonneau covers to the bed of your 2013 Ford F-150. The Thule TracRac SR comes in the following bed length sizes:

Hey William, so I believe I have a great solution for you but I wouldn't recommend the ramps you mentioned because of the distance between the slats that I think wouldn't work well with your electric scooter. I'm not 100% sure which Curt gooseneck is on there and they use a template so I don't have the measurements handy. However, the # BWGNRK1020 does list the measurements so you can run a tape measure in your truck bed to see if it lines up.
