Good question, and the front mounted trailer hitch receiver for your 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 that has the most ground clearance is from EcoHitch; the correct fit for your truck is the following part number:
- EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH57FR
The # EH57FR measures approximately 13-1/2 inches from the bottom of the receiver to the ground, which is more than any other hitch. It is also the strongest hitch for your truck, with the highest line pull rating of 10,000... view full answer...
The EcoHitch Invisi Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7906 requires you to cutout part of the plastic portion behind the front license plate mount on your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. I have included a picture of the area that is included with the installation instructions. This area is only plastic but it can be multiple layers.
For the front license plate it will depend on where you will be operating your vehicle. If it is your only plate you can place it inside your front... view full answer...
The Curt # C31074 front mount receiver has shipping weight of 36 lbs, minus the packaging the hitch weighs about 30 lbs. I've linked the installation instructions for you.
The Curt # 33328 front mount receiver you'd looked at is a fit for a 2003 - 2008 Honda Pilot or a 2006 - 2014 Honda Ridgeline, and wouldn't fit your Colorado. view full answer...
Unfortunately, we don't offer a front mount receiver for the Ford F-53 chassis. Your best bet would be to use the rear hitch, if possible. If you're flat towing a vehicle, you can use a dual hitch adapter like # RM-077-6 which has a 400 lb tongue weight capacity, but be aware that the adapter is NOT designed for towing a trailer, only for flat towing a vehicle which doesn't apply any tongue load to the hitch.
If that wouldn't work for you, your best bet would be to check into having a... view full answer...
The EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7904 will not have an affect on the cooling for your 2022 Ford F-250. With the main cross bar hidden behind the factory fascia the only part which restricts air flow to the radiators and coolers is the 2" receiver portion. This does not restrict the air enough for you to see a difference in temperatures on your truck. Also if you already have a front license plate on your truck this is the same area the plate sits so there is... view full answer...
Yes! If the front-mounted hitch/accessory is mounted properly, it is totally legal to do. If you need a front hitch receiver for your 2021 Ford F-350, I recommend the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit # 65076. Not only does this hitch provide you with 500 pounds of tongue weight and 9,000 pounds of line pull capacity, it also installs close to the front bumper to decrease the probability of bumper clearance issues. Since the length from the center of the pinhole... view full answer...

I have attached a picture of the CURT Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C31047, installed on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The hitch does not install all the way below the air dam. The air dam will actually be removed and then reinstalled after hitch installation.
I have attached the installation instructions for you as well. view full answer...
The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31074 which is a fit for a 2022 GMC Canyon won't change the ride height at all but it will change your ground clearance by a bit because you now have a receiver under the bumper that hangs down a bit lower than the skid plate. That said, I don't think is enough to really cause any issues.
The weight of the front mount hitch is about 35 lbs. view full answer...
There was a design change of all Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receivers which includes the Draw-Tite Front Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65069 for a 2011 Jeep Wrangler to get rid of the extra pin hole on the receiver tube used for a stabilizing pin. The new hithes all come with just one standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole. Therefore, it sounds like you just have the newest model available and there are no issues. view full answer...

The receiver opening for the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch # 65075 does sit below the front bumper. We haven't heard from any customers regarding the angle when they are using the hitch, but have had favorable reviews from customers.
If you use a winch mounting plate like part # C31010, the winch will sit a little higher than the receiver opening and may not be an issue at all. we also have a winch mounting plate # BDW20011. The winches these are designed to work with are listed... view full answer...
Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to use a dual hitch adapter like # D-192 for that, as having one accessory installed would prevent you from installing one in the other receiver. They just wouldn't fit.
We do have the perfect solution for you though. I'd go with the Hollywood Racks # HR1450Z-85 SportRider SE which can carry two bikes weighing up to 50 lbs each and up to 100 lbs of cargo.
If that option doesn't offer enough cargo capacity, I'd typically recommend installing a front... view full answer...

Installing a front mounted hitch like Curt Front Hitch for the 2012 Silverado, part # C31023 on your Silverado would provide more visability when moving a trailer into position. It has a 2 x 2 inch receiver opening, and can also accomodate other accessories like winches, snowplow, and cargo carriers. This hitch has a line pull capacity of 9000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs. This hitch has easy, bolt-on installation and requires no welding for installation, but does require... view full answer...
Yes it will; the vertical load capacity is 500 lbs for the hitch so that's the limit on any type of carrier (and it's accompanying cargo). So as long the motorcycle carrier is 200 lbs or less, you can carry a 300 lb motorcycle with your 2019 Chevy Suburban with the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31073.
For example, you could use the 58 lb Motorcycle Carrier w/ Ramp # e98873 the 358 lb total weight of the carrier and your bike would be well under the 500 lb limit of the hitch. view full answer...
Yes, this can be done. However, you need an additional 7-way harness # ETBC7 to activate the trailer's brakes as you go down the driveway.
If you need a front hitch for your 2022 Ford F-350, I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # EH83GR. This hitch comes with the highest weight rating we offer on your vehicle. Additionally, it is a completely hidden design which means there will be no bulky crosstubes that create an eyesore on your new truck.... view full answer...
The receiver tube isn't always completely level due to manufacturer issues and with how it could sit when bolted to the frame of the vehicle. Having been around a lot of hitches I can tell you with certainty that the majority of hitches either have a very slightly off centered weld or get a bend to them during transportation, we even made a help article about how to straighten them out which I've attached below.
Based on the picture you provided and you stating that you're seeing it slope... view full answer...
I confirmed with Curt that the Curt Front Mount Hitch - 2" # C31069 does not have a specific class rating. However, based on its 500 pound tongue weight capacity and a 5,000 pound gross trailer weight capacity, it would fall between the class II and class III weight ratings of a rear hitch. I have attached a chart to make this determination clearer. When considering the class, the most important factor is the size of the receiver opening (which is 2 inches) and the weight capacities.
