Will Having The EcoHitch Front Trailer Hitch Receiver On a 2022 Ford F-250 Affect Engine Cooling?
Question:
I am interested in the front mount EcoHitch for my 2022 F250 7.3 gas truck. My main concern is if there has been any cooling issues with the hitch in the area of the radiator and trans cooler and cutting of the front air dam for the hitch clearance? I like the way the hitch is hidden and the install doesn’t look to bad. I had fabricated my own front hitch for my 2010 f150 and I used it to move my car trailer around in tight spots and to push it into the garage tight fit. I didn’t like the way t looked though because it hung under the front bumper. I wasn’t going to put one on my new truck till I saw the EcoHitch you have. Thanks!

The EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7904 will not have an affect on the cooling for your 2022 Ford F-250. With the main cross bar hidden behind the factory fascia the only part which restricts air flow to the radiators and coolers is the 2" receiver portion. This does not restrict the air enough for you to see a difference in temperatures on your truck. Also if you already have a front license plate on your truck this is the same area the plate sits so there is no difference as the included plate holder will cover the same area as the factory installed front license plate holder.
