The 3M adhesive backing on the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201 is a very strong adhesive that will last for a long time. It is important to have a smooth clean surface to attach the lights, otherwise they may not stay attached. While you will not need Cable Ties # DW05727-25 to hold the lights themselves in place they should be used to secure the wiring and prevent it from getting caught on part of your bikes when loading and unloading, view full answer...
If you're asking whether or not a 2" Reese ball mount can be used with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12115, then the answer is no because this hitch only has an 1 1/4" receiver.
Without swapping the hitch out with a 2" hitch you'd have to use a hitch expander like the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HTAD, but using this expander will cut the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50% which would make the hitch pretty much useless.
Your best bet is to just use... view full answer...
I can clarify all this for you. The hitch is rated to tow 3,500 lbs. and this towing capacity is issued by the manufacture of the hitch.
You are going to be limited by your weakest link, which is going to be your vehicle's frame. I went ahead and I checked the owner's manual for your 2012 Buick Lacrosse and it states that with a V6 engine you can tow up to 1,000lbs. but that could also be too heavy. The owner's manual states: maximum trailer weight is calculated assuming only the driver... view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Class II # 36538 or Curt # C12115 are a custom fit for your 2015 Buick Lacrosse FWD. The specific Draw-Tite hitch receiver you referenced will not fit your 2015 Buick Lacrosse FWD.
With either option, if you will be towing a trailer you will additionally need a ball mount. I recommend # 36061 which comes with the pin and clip. You will still need a hitch ball like # 19258 for a 2 inch coupler or # 19257 for a 1-7/8 inch coupler. Then the wiring you will need for your hitch... view full answer...
I contacted the team at Weather Tech to obtain the actual dimensions of the tan front floor liners for your 2010 Buick LaCrosse, part # WT452681.
Driver-side liner measures 22.10 inches wide x 25.39 inches long at the widest and longest points.
Passenger-side liner measures 22.08 inches wide x 25.39 inches long at the widest and longest points.
Since the mats are molded to precisely follow the interior contours of your LaCrosse, the measured dimensions will vary slightly depending on... view full answer...
When installing a bike rack, bumper clearance is important. Two important measurements are hitch pin hole on receiver to end of bumper and hitch pin hole on the bike rack to the closest point of the rack. For bumper clearance, when we installed this on a 2009 Buick LaCrosse, the distance from the hitch pin hole to the end of the bumper was 6" with the Draw-Tite # 36374. I attached a picture for your reference.
As for ground clearance, the measurement from the top of the receiver to the... view full answer...
The most popular Blue Ox tow bar among owners of the Buick Lacrosse is their Alpha, part # BX7380. This will work great with their base plate kit # BX1515. This bar offers a 6500-lb capacity (which gives you a nice safety margin) and it includes the legally-required safety cables which are one of the other components required for safe flat towing. Each of the components needed to flat tow is outlined in the linked overview article. Two additional articles on braking systems and high/low... view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at Curt, who tells me that the reason that the # C56340 isn't shown as being a fit for the 2005 Buick Allure is that the wiring harness was never tested on the vehicle. Because of this, Curt won't call it a fit.
If the only difference between the two vehicles is the nameplate, then the harness should fit. However, because Curt can't confirm the fit, we can't guarantee you the harness will work.
If you feel like taking a gamble, go with the # C56340 but if you want... view full answer...
The 1-1/4-inch shank of the Brophy Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter # HTAD is solid, not hollow, so it will not work with an anti-rattle device like # SHP2082. All 1-1/4-inch to 2-inch hitch adapters have a solid shank for strength. With this adapter you can use a standard hitch pin like # PC2 or a lock like # 5200.
Any hitch adapter will cause you to lose half of your hitch receiver's rated capacity so be sure to check that the weight of the installed accessory does not exceed this reduced... view full answer...
Yes, the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 36374 is a confirmed fit for all models of the 2007 Buick LaCrosse. This is a Class II trailer hitch with a gross trailer weight capacity of 3,500 pounds, and a tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. I have included a link to the installation details and a video showing a typical installation for you to view.
If you plan to do some towing the recommended ball mount is # 36061. For a ball, use # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # 19258 (2 inch diameter).... view full answer...
Curt trailer hitch # C12115 has a capacity of 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. But I checked the owner's manual online for your 2011 Buick LaCrosse and found that it has a towing capacity of 1,000 pounds so you are limited to that even though the hitch is rated higher.
If the gross trailer weight is under 1,000 pounds then you can pull it with your LaCrosse. A 17 foot boat and trailer is likely heavier than that though. The recommended ball mount for this... view full answer...
Actually both the Draw Tite Hitch # 36538 and the Hidden Hitch part # 90242 (no longer available) that you referenced are made by the same company so they are basically identical. Either would work great for you.
The Harmar AL160 is a scooter carrier, if the one you are looking at is confirmed to fit a 1-1/4 inch hitch it should work with either hitch previously mentioned.
The weight of the carrier plus your scooter could not exceed 300 lbs otherwise it would be too heavy for either hitch. view full answer...
I called my contact at Kat's and asked about the Kat's Heaters Custom Fit Engine Block Heater, part # KH11811.
This heater does have a thermostat that will only operate when the coolant temperature drops below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. This should work great for you as it does meet the vehicle manufacturer specs. view full answer...
According to my contact at Kat's Heaters, you'll be looking for a core plug opening on the rear of the engine block, located on the driver's side. The heater is not actually immersed in the anti-freeze, it will fit into a cavity in the engine block and will heat the surrounding metal of the engine block, acting much like a radiator. The cavity you're looking for is just under an inch in diameter (.885 of an inch, to be exact). Because there's not much room between the rear of the engine... view full answer...
In order to carry a kayak on your 2007 Buick LaCrosse you will first need to start off with a roof rack for which I recommend using the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack part # SR1002 because it is a great, easy to use, price-point option for you. Then, in order to secure your kayak you can use the Thule Top Deck Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs part # TH881 or the SportRack Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs part # SR5511, whichever you prefer. If you have multiple kayaks though you would want to... view full answer...
The rear fascia trimming may be required when installing the Curt Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 12239, on a 2008 Buick LaCrosse Super. The Super model is the higher-performance model of the standard LaCrosse sedan. It has a rear fascia that extends farther down than the standard LaCrosse rear fascia.
The standard Buick LaCrosse does not need to have any of the rear fascia trimmed.

First thing you need installed on your 2011 Buick LaCrosse is base plate kit like the Roadmaster part # 523166-1. This attaches to the frame of your vehicle and provides an attachment point for a tow bar to flat tow the vehicle.
In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Falcon All Terain, # RM-522. This has non-binding arms which makes the... view full answer...
To install the Hopkins Rear View Camera with Backup Sensors, part # HM60195VA, to your 2011 Buick LaCrosse you will need to use a circuit tester, part # PTW2993, to test the functions of the vehicles wires to determine which one carries the reverse lights.
The wiring color for vehicles can vary from different makes, models, and model years. To be absolutely certain which function each wire carries, you will want to use the circuit tester.
