Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. This light has a 800 raw lumen capacity and produces 560 effective lumens.

We'll be taking a quick look at the Opti-Brite LED Work Light. This is going to be a nice small light. It's going to give you a very bright beam to illuminate either a work area. If you put it on an off-road vehicle and it's going to be a flood beam design. It has a nice wide beam of light illuminates over a greater area than a spot, which would just be in one narrow focus theme. It's very durable housing.
It's made out of an aluminum design, have these nice big fins on the back as well, to help to dissipate any heat buildup, keeps our led working for a long time, and it's also rated at IP6, 9K, which pretty much means it's impervious to dust and water. This is even submersible. If you wanted to have it in any kind of rugged outdoor application, and it should be very sturdy to stand up to all those applications.Has a nice thick polycarbonate lens that is impact resistant as well and that aluminum housing is die-cast with a nice black powder coat finish. The advantage with aluminum is that not only is it durable and lightweight, but resistant to any kind of rusting or corrosion, and it's also better able to dissipate that heat with those fins, especially. It's compatible with 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems.
It's pretty easy to install. We'll just have the small bracket at the bottom has a little square hole in there that will work with our included carriage bolt, lock washer and the nut. You'll just need to drill a place to mount this up to, or use an existing hole wherever you choose to mount it, and then run the wiring off of that.There's just two wires to connect power and ground. I have those connected to some little alligator clips. We can look at how bright the light is going to be.
Turn that on to be a very bright little flood light illuminates, a nice wide area, turn the light out in the studio so you can get a better idea of what that'll look like in a low light situation.As you can see, it's illuminating my whole table and I've got it pulled back about three feet away from the table right now. And it's still providing pretty nice white light on that surface. Even just out of this one little guy, you get a lot of light overall. It looks really nice with that black powder coat, very small, you can have a kind of row of these, just two should mount up to a lot of different applications where a bigger light might not fit that bracket at the bottom is also adjustable. You can move that in or out to get it to where you want it to be.
And then of course you can mount it. However you want with that carriage bolt.Our wire lead is 10 inches long with 14 gauge wire. For both of those, as far as our light output, the effective lumen output is 560 lumens. It does have a, an 800 lumens raw lumen output. And the difference between those two numbers is basically the raw lumen output is the maximum potential of that diode. If all things are perfect has perfect supply of power, there's nothing in the way, nothing dampening that power, no lens in place. It gives you 800 lumens, but that effective lumen output is more what the real-world output of it is really going to be, which 560 lumens is still a very bright light, especially for just this one little light led. It's going to give you a lot of light.Again, we just have our single diode, the light measures about two inches on either side with our brackets from top to bottom. It's about three inches tall, maybe about three and an eighth, from front to back. It's about two and a half inches deep going from that front of the housing to the back of where our wiring comes out.Again, our wiring comes off the light about 10 inches. We'll have 10 inches of usable wire there. The power draw for this light at 12.8 volts is 0.91 amps at 24 volts is 0.42 amps. There is a lifetime warranty on the LEDs and overall I think this is a really nice looking light up too bright makes a lot of really good lights that IP rating of 69K is pretty much the highest rating that you can get on any light. That means it's going to be submersible up to a meter, so about three feet in water. Should be able to withstand rain, wind dust. If you're going out in the desert, if you're doing have some trails in the mountains with this light should be good, or if you want to use it as a work light on a work truck should be good in just about any kind of weather, any kind of situation.And that's going to do it. Appears to be a well made outdoor quality light fixture with good quality mounting/attaching hardware thoughtfully included by the manufacturer. Rated for both 12 and 24 volt applications. Flood beam provides good general work area lighting with low current draw. We plan to use them predominantly for quick and easy portable indoor lighting during power failures.
Excellent replacement light for my trailer. Had to upgrade lights on my 16 year old horse trailer. Chose LED and am greatly pleased with this light. Has stood the test of time.
I installed these on the back of my boat trailer and hooked them up to my reverse lights for launching my boat in the dark. I wanted an extremely bright flood so I could see both sides and the down the center. Just wonderfully bright and dependable a year later as when new.

I replaced a halogen external light fixture on my horse trailer with this model LED light fixture several months ago. It is brighter, instant on and lower energy usage which are all positives especially for the battery when the trailer is disconnected. I ordered 2 more to replace the other external halogen light fixtures on my horse trailer. Good lighting is especially important when you need to access your trailer with your horse after sundown. Also easy to install.
Very well built light. Easy to install and lights up a large area. I would buy again and recommend it.
I already owned this particular brand of LED light so I pretty much knew what I was getting. In my usage they have been better than average. No problems to speak of. I use them on all of our trucks.
Easy installation , we replaced three lights on our bloomer horse trailer . These are much much brighter than the old lights very nice product so far ! Thank you

I bought the earlier version of this light several years ago to replace an incandescent work light on our horse trailer. It worked brilliantly until I pressure washed it. (Note to self: Don't pressure wash the work light!) I purchased the Opti-Brite LED Work light to replace the one I drowned. This one also works brilliantly! It has an improved mount as well as being even easier to install. I highly recommend it!
I ordered two of these for headlights on a 36 volt electric golf cart. These things are brighter than a lot of car headlights and have great range. If i ever need anymore for back up lights or work lights on my truck i will be ordering these. I have been using them for over a year and they still work great. I have been ordering from etrailer for about 5 years now and let me tell you there is no better company or staff to deal with.
I've been using this light on the back of my enclosed trailer. I just couldn't see behind me at night. This light is amazing for lighting up behind the trailer, all from one light. Definitely recommend!

Good product, very bright with low amperage. Bought these for my horse trailer to replace my prep area and ramp load area lights.
Install is easy but on horse trailers where just the thin steel sheet is used, the square backing of the bolt protrudes through the bracket and won't tighten fully, leaving some wobble and play that is not acceptable for horse trailer exterior. a thick lag bolt washer did the trick.
Also, for an 'area' light, this is not the most ideal. it's extremely bright but a tighter beam than i would have liked. Meaning, mounted 8 feet off the ground, there is a very tight 5 feet long by 2 or 3 feet wide strip of really bright, around the saddle on our horse. i was expecting something like a 7 x 5 or more given the shape of the light. picked based on lumens, but beam angle was not presented. would be good info.
Overall 4 stars, really just because of the narrow beam.

Installed the lights and they work very good. They arrived quickly also. I have ordered other items in the past, all good products and good service.
I purchased the lights to replace the headlights on our forklift because I was tired of replacing bulbs every couple of weeks, but once they were on we realized how much better the LED lights are. They light up the whole area in front of the lift and no more replacing bulbs. Great product at a great price.
Could be a tad brighter, but have it on a remote switch on the back of my cargo trailer from my truck and aids in backup and lighting when loading my trailer at night. Great product!
The best light to use when it's dark! I used these lights on my off-road camping trailer and they work! It was dark at night and this can be a real problem, so I installed these lights and I could see at night. Super great price for an inexpensive solution. The mounts are real simple with a nut and bolt for the up and down and a carriage bolt and nut for mounting. Easy!
Love this light. It is very bright and will work great on the back of my racing trailer.
I have used both the aluminum model and the plastic housing models on our work trailers . I prefer the plastic housing light due to the rough roads. The lighter weigh light causes less stress on the mounting points. Good product and etrailer is good on communicating with customers.

VERY VERSITILE LIGHT. SMALL ENOUGH TO FIT INTO SMALLER TIGHT SPACES. YET A VERY BRIGHT LED THAT PROVIDES BRIGHT LIGHT. ALSO A VERY DURABLE BUILD THAT WITHSTANDS HEAVY DUTY USAGE.
