Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this UWS 48 inch long, single door, Topsider truck bed side rail toolbox. Has a gloss black diamond tread finish. Now, this Topsider box, it is designed to mount on top of your truck bed rails for easy cargo and tool access. The side rail design keeps the truck bed open to haul other types of cargo.

And this is a universal design, so it can be mounted on either the driver's side or the passenger side. Now, it does include two mounting legs. Let me just open the box up and show you those legs we're talking about. Here's the two mounting legs. And those are designed to install underneath the box onto your truck bed to give it extra support.

Legs back in there. Now, this is made of a .058 inch extra thick one piece aluminum. This box will hold heavy tools and cargo. The aluminum construction of it, it has fully welded seams so it's guaranteed not to rust. The finish, as we mentioned, it is a nice, gloss black, powder coat diamond tread finish.

And this is the best base finish if you're gonna wanna paint it a color to match your truck. It is a nice, one hand access. You can see here, has the lockable T-handle. If you just twist it, that'll hold the door close. And push the handle down, so it's flush and out of the way.

And then when you go to open it, just pull up on the T-handle like that. Twist it a quarter of a turn, it'll release the door, and it falls right down. It does use a stainless steel locking system. And if you notice, it comes with the two keys. So, when you go to lock it, what you'll do is twist that to hold the door. Push your handle down, and then just turn this a quarter of a turn, and then remove your key. And then just like that, now, the T-handle will still open but if you'll notice, it won't allow it to turn either way to unlock the door. So, it'll always stay locked. And then when you go to remove it, just put your key back in. Turn it that quarter of a turn. That'll allow you to release the door just like that. If you notice, the door does open a full 90 degrees. It does use the stainless steel aircraft cables. One on each side to give it strong door support. And it does have a nice, micro seal here. And let me see if we can zoom in a little bit. But if you notice, the seal goes around the whole edge of the box. So, when you go to close your door, it goes up against that seal. Then when you lock it shut, that'll give you a nice, keep any weather out. Keeps out moisture, dust, dirt. The other neat feature about this, if you noticed, they have this unique water channel right here. So, when you have water on top of this, when you open your door, you don't want all the water to fall in. It'll fall onto this channel and then will drain right out. So, that weatherproof design will protect the possessions on the inside from the elements. And again, we just flip that back up. Zoom back out. We'll go ahead and twist the handle. Now, this part is made in the USA. I do wanna give you some specs. We're first gonna do the overall dimensions. So basically, your length, if we measure that, it's gonna be right at 48 inches. If we do the height, the height, if we go from the very bottom, very top is right at 17 inches tall. And the total depth, including that door is right at 13 1/2 inches deep. And I am gonna open it. And we'll drop the door down. And then I just wanna give you the measurements of the opening. So, if we go this way, you're gonna be right at 43 1/2 inches. Now, opening height is 12 1/4 inches. And the total depth, right at 12 inches. So, it does give you an interior capacity of about 6.3 cubic feet of usable space. And again, we'll flip the door up. Twist it, push that down, then we'll go ahead and lock it just like that.
