Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Putco stainless steel tailgate cap. Now as you can see, this looks white and you're probably wondering why this is white when this is supposed to be stainless steel. Well, as you can see, underneath, this is in fact stainless steel, but this comes from the factory with a white film, a protective film over the surface. So, it'll protect this cap from scratches and scrapes during shipping.

As you can see, I peeled a little bit of that protective film back so you can see that stainless steel. So, this is stainless steel. It's not white, but it will come to you with this nice, protective film over it. This is a custom fit part that is designed to fit specifically the 1988 to 2000 Chevrolet and GMC C/K Series pickup with the 6 1/2 foot bed excluding Stepside, and then the 1988 to 2000 Chevrolet and GMC C/K Series pickup with the eight-foot bed.
