Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this new Derale 17-inch long dual-pass aluminum heat sink transmission cooler with the installation kit. Now this transmission cooler can be mounted anywhere space permits and it's best to select the location that'll deliver the maximum airflow to your cooler. This will improve functioning and overall performance of the transmission, helps extend the life of your transmission, and it will even prevent heat-related failures. Now this part will include everything laid out here on the table. It includes this aluminum heat sink cooler with the mounting brackets all installed.
It comes with this four-foot long rubber hose and the stainless steel clamps for installation, has the Insta-Dapt radiator adapter, has two 3/8-inch NPT by 3/8-inch hose barb fittings and these are designed to screw right onto the end right here. And then it also includes the mounting hardware for installing this to your vehicle and a nice set of installation instructions. Now this heat sink cooler will absorb and then dissipate the heat effectively through both internal and external aluminum fins. Has a compact three-inch diameter housing that are capable of fitting most frame rails and it is designed with the inlet and the outlet on the same end so that the tube can be routed through the cooler taking up less space in your engine compartment. Now we mentioned this Insta-Dapt adapter.
This will adapt your transmission line so that you can connect your radiator to your transmission cooler quickly and easily. No cutting or flaring of lines. And this will fit almost any vehicle with 5/16-inch diameter transmission lines. And if you notice the fitting on this includes female and male threads. These parts are made in the USA.
A few specs again, the inlets are 3/8-inch NPT hose barb fittings, which are these right here. You can see they will screw right onto the ends just like that. Now the overall dimensions on this, I'm gonna measure without the fittings on there. But the overall length we go from this end to this end including the mounting brackets and see it's gonna be right at 17 1/4 inches long. The height this way is gonna be right at 3 1/4 inches tall.
The diameter of the cooler itself we mentioned is three inches in diameter, this way. And the mounting holes that are on the mounting brackets right here if we measure those across center to center those are gonna be right at 16 5/8 inches.
