Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 1996 Ford Aerostar
Question:
Your website shows no listing for a transmission cooler for my 1996 Ford Windstar 3.8L. Is there a particular reason? Should I just study it myself to figure out what fits? Well be towing a U-haul trailer moving my daughter from VA to Boston, and at other times packed with tools and/or camping gear. Im also considering your thermostatic bypass for winter weather. Any suggestions? Thank you. Ive ordered a hitch and wiring items in the past

Transmission coolers are pretty universal in application. The best way to pick one out would be to measure the space you have in front of your radiator and pick out the biggest cooler that would fit there.
The Derale Transmission Cooler part # D13502 would be an excellent choice if you had the clearance for it. It measures 11W x 7-1/4T x 7/8D Inch. To make installation easier you would also want the # D13014 and # D13025 fittings.
