A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Great product, as advertised.
Purchased this item based upon guidance from etrailer that it is the replacement for "SAE-AP2-79" printed on lens of other red marker lights on camper similar to the one I lost.
Needed lens only, but ordered the complete unit anyway.
I used the lens from new item received from etrailer, fit it onto the existing base on the side of the camper.
Perfect fit although very slightly loose.
Used 2 tiny dabs on each side, of Silicone Adhesive, at 11 oclock on the left and 1 oclock on the right, to ensure the snap-to fit will never release, but lens is still removable if need be.
All that said, noticed the same item at Home Depot about the same price... with no shipping charge. However still good buy from etrailer due to time and trouble saved.

I ordered a number of items for a trailer that I am bringing back to life after leaving is stand at the beach for nearly 12 years. I got great advice on what parts I needed to match the original Haulmark lights and license plate bracket/light and also ordered a new breakaway system and safety chains. These lights were to replace ones on my '94 Jamboree, which mounts the lights on studs so the fastener hole spacing is critical. Fortunately eTrailer had a dimensional drawing that made it easy to determine that the lights would fit. I wish every supplier would have dimensional drawings of their products, and it is what I hate about the big gorilla in the online field: they never have proper specifications of their products. Thank you, eTrailer: you do it right!
Perfect replacement for the one missing and one deteriorated original Fruehauf running lights on my cargo trailer. Same footprint, mounting holes, and wiring pass-thru hole. Easy wire connection using new quick splice wire connectors too.

The product was a great value and arrived with no damage and nicely packaged. I've got an older wheel horse garden tractor that I'm putting these lights onto. I found similar lights on ebay for $10 each plus shipping. I got them on etrailer for a 1/3 the cost for the same light.
This clearance light fit my 95 Jamboree perfectly. Even came with a bulb :-)
I have an older class c motorhome and needed to replace some of the lights. Unfortunately I couldn't find any that were exactly like the ones I had so I took a chance on these and with a little modification they worked just fine.
Actually bought this as a back up in case the lens I bought would not fit my 1999 Bounder.
The lens fit so I didn't need to use it but I am keeping it as a spare. Never know when I will hit a branch again.
The bulb does not match but the light looks exactly as the others. You can't tell it from the original!
