The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.Patrick, finally had a break in weather and a chance to install the hitch to my 09 Land Rover LR2.
The installation with the help of a friend took approximately 20 minutes. I laid out all required tools in advance. With one person holding the hitch in place the other placed a bolt on each side and it was all down hill from there. I should mention we accomplished this without jacking up the vehicle. The Land Rover has a high enough ground clearance which made getting under the vehicle very easy. Had we had the luxury of a lift this job could be completed in 10-15 minutes tops. I am attaching a couple of photo's showing the installed hitch. Instructions received with the hitch were very easy to follow.
The hitch arrived with the black paint scrapped off in numerous places, the hitch was filthy and one arm of the hitch was protected and wrapped in cardboard, the other arm was not wrapped in cardboard. The item appeared to have been something that had been returned by another customer. The hitch was not in a Draw-Tite box, but loose in an etrailer box without bubble wrap or some other protection for the hitch.
I will not be purchasing from e-trailer again.
The box arrived with two large holes. The hitch was loose in an etrailer box, not a Draw-Tite box, with no packaging to protect the hitch. The black paint was scrapped off in several places and the entire hitch was filthy and appeared to have been used, there were a few spots of rust. One arm of the hitch was protected with cardboard wrapped around the arm, the other arm was not wrapped in cardboard.
I will not be purchasing from etrailer again.

Arrived with holes in the box and scratches on the hitch. Not a big deal. Super easy install by myself. No lift needed, no cutting of bumper. Nice design.

The hitch is high quality and was relatively easy to install. Yes, you'll have to lie down under your car (unless you have access to a lift) and figure out where it mounts to the frame. However, once you locate the LR2's predrilled holes it's just a matter of installing and tightening up the bolts. Going with this product cost me an hour out of my weekend but saved me hundreds of dollars when compared to a factory hitch. Well worth it. The only negative is that it arrived with some of the black paint chipped off, probably suffered during transit. Since I had some black spray paint on hand I sprayed those areas to prevent future rusting. This is my third hidden hitch (for different vehicles) and I've always been pleased with the results.

Works great and easy to install. Took me and a friend 20 min to do. Use a jack to hold it up while you put the bolts in.
Bolts up in minutes. fit is good and appearance is nice . exccelent choice. make sure you clean out bolt holes first. I put never seize on threads and ran them through a couple of times, this was the hardest part of the job.

review for 2013 Land Rover LR2. Initial installation was simple. It did require some shims for it not to hit plastic, no big deal. It looks great with it,s angled up design. Clearance is not impaired if you off road . I haul my dirt bike on a bumper rack or tow with a trailer. The hitch after 1 year still looks like new and works great. If you ever want to remove, you will never know it was there. factory wiring is required. No cutting wire . Just plug and play.
I could not believe how fast the hitch receiver arrived - Ordered Wed afternoon, delivered at my house Friday. It was a 30 minute installation on Saturday morning just as advertized and a perfect fit for my Land Rover LR2.

Very well. At the moment utilizing for bike rack. This year will also utilize to tow my catamaran.Also this was several hundred dollars cheaper than Land Rover quoted. Great hitch, great service, I believe that sys it all. Thanks!
