The quality of this hitch is excellent. My only recommendation are have a couple of strong people to help or use a motorcycle jack to lift it in place. You will never be able to do it yourself. Also make sure you have a 7/8 deep well socket and use a impact wrench. The nuts are very tight by design.
massive beefy hitch. heavy, heavy, duty. ups guy absolutely hates me, lol!
the soda can in the end of the receiver cross member, is to illustrate the sheer size and redundant strength built in this hitch. 100 dollars saved at etrailer, versus same hitch from other site. nuff' said.
Highly recommend, fit perfect on my 2003, F-150 and handles my food truck with ni issues.
If you are looking for a massive heavy duty hitch then this is it.
Out side of the frail shipping box the contents are supper good.
It is way stronger then the OEM frame that it is attached to.
It will last longer than then the vehicle of which it is connected.
Don't waste your money on inferior products that are half the weight and can't support the job you have planned.
The inertia weight and load is many times the stress when you are trying to stop in an emergency. Don't look for grief... buy a heavier unit that will never leave you stranded or waste time and money.
One year in and works great. i own a boat rental business which requires a lot of towing. my only issue is the tow chain holes are difficult to attach a chain.
The product itself was great. It fit perfectly and was relatively easy to install by myself (with the help of a floor jack). etrailer.com should consider a different shipper (if possible) though. Every heavy item I receive from UPS appears to have been drop kicked to my door, as if it were delivered by Ace Ventura.
Great product. Super strong, very heavy, large hardware and fits my F150 like a glove. Draw-Tite is fantastic with customer service and if you have any problems they will help you.
